Worried newbie here who doesn’t know quite what to make of this thread, but is intrigued, and would like to subscribe to your newsletter. Could anyone give me an idea of what sort of stuff this has previously involved?

Dervorin, here’s last year’s thread. If you page towards the end, you’ll see lots of examples of what was sent. The important part is to tell alice where you can send a package to so that she knows who is willing to send internationally when she’s making assignments.

I don’t know if it’s possible to describe or categorize stuff involved. Just anything you’ve got around the house that you don’t want/need/recognize and you’re willing to box up and send to a stranger, bearing in mind that you will receive a box containing similar unwanted/unneeded/unrecognized stuff from another stranger.
Sometimes it might be useful or fun or just plain weird. For example, I’ve got a wristwatch that features Cartman from South Park - what a treasure that is!! As for things I’ve sent - I can’t recall specifics but the boxes would have included odds and ends from my junk drawer, and sometimes things I received from previous WE exchanges.
I’m not sure what-all I’ll be sending this time, but I’m pretty sure there’ll be a ceramic item in there…
