White Elephant?

Oh, and a vacuum hose! For some reason, this is my roommate’s favorite item.

Wait a minute! I sent JayJay a stuffed cow with a sandwich board that says, “Eat More Chikin.” You mean, it wasn’t an original??? Uh, JayJay? If you send it back, I’ll redeem it for something else!

Hubby herded an ele into the house today. WOW!
It contained:

A pair of sub arctic gloves- hubby put them with his ski stuff.

Cubs/ US Cellular car flag- Go Mariners (?)

Tiny, cute pillow- I’ll have to keep it away from Maxx, he thinks it for him.

Eye shadow brush-I can use that.

Shaving brush- hubby will use it.

Diabetes jelly bracelet- cool, my best friend is a poorly compliant diabetic. I can make her feel guilty…

Huge silver colored necklace with a spinning “E”–??? ??

School bus mug- cool we like mugs

A 'puter mouse with a school bus and stop sign floating inside- I’ll pass that along, since I drive a Mac, and I love my Mighty Mouse.

A tiny Busch beer mug- I collect little cups, how did you know?

A CD by December Underground- neverheard of them, but I’ll check it out

A four tape set of Fawlty Towers- Love that show!

Watch with diamonds floating inside- Hubby asked why some other guy was giving me diamonds, the fact that they’re plastic, eased his mind.

A leather luggage tag from Movado design.

A triangular highlighter - how fun.

Homer Simpson doll- we’ll dress him as a fireman and put him with the rest of the firefighter collection.

An RCA cable with 5 pairs of ends- what was it for? I may be able to use it with my antique stereo.

AND of course, a toy School bus!

Thanks, Mr Bus Guy

Oh, I forgot, a Honeywell book bag-I’ll get lots of use from that.
And lots of bubble wrap. I love bubble wrap for my glass pieces.
I’m so happy

No elephant siting?

worry

According to the post office, my elephant has been “delivered abroad” so now I’m just waiting to see if it was delivered to my elephantee or if someone else received it and is wondering why someone would ship that collection of stuff overseas.

Hoping my elephantee checks in…

Glad you got it in good shape1!!

Mr Bus Guy, I figure the gloves out, they do get warm. Even in the mountains here, it doesn’t get that cold. It’s surprising that the batteries don’t make them awkward.

I have to say, that Fawlty Towers comes in second to the Black Adder series, but still very funny.

You and my husband think alike. We have two dresser sized drawers full of various cables. I know there are serial and scuzzy (scsi) cables, in there. They go with the 10 year old software in the third drawer. So, what DID that strange five headed RCA monster go to?

My next door neighbor has a 4 year old that wants the school bus bank, so I think he’s going to get it.

You’ve restored my elephant faith! Thanks again.

PHEW! I was beginning to get worried. The last time I used the post office for shipping packages, one of them never made it, so I was going to be really pissed if it happened again.

I’m glad to hear the the Ginger Altoids have found an appreciative home. We bought them when I was pregnant to help with any morning sickness, but I never had any!

I sent off my box a week and a half ago, and my elephantee hasn’t checked in yet. I’m hoping she got it but just forgot to post.

Ditto. Sent it out priority on October 30th. Hope it made it there okay!

as of Friday, I hadn’t received mine, but I didn’t check the mail Saturday. (in case it was me you were waiting to hear from.
Also I will be sending mine out before the deadline, that I can promise.

Just a reminder - the 15th of November is the deadline for you package to ARRIVE at it’s destination.

yikes - okay, mine will be a little late - I thought I’d have it out this weekend but I’ve been stuck in bed with a bad back. I can only sit up for short bursts. You may pummel me with used styrofoam peanuts as punishment

Got my box a few days ago but waited until the weekend to open it.

Thanks to Twinkie for the good loot.

At the top is a Stress Buster Box. It contains an inflatable bat and dealing with stress advice.

I’m not sure what the next thing is. Which I enjoy. I think it’s a plastic hospital waste container, but I’m not sure. I’ll ask around.

Big Red Sun black tea : Tagalongs Girl Scout cookies : magenta tennis ball (I know who I’m giving that to)

purple domino mask : Coca Cola poker chips with a deck of Coca Cola cards : sparkley stud earrings

Swedish Fish candy : Sour Patch kids candy : Bottle Caps candy : a plastic frog : fuzzy bobble-head frog

Stowaway garment steamer (which I can use when the kids do my laundry)

Eat Your Way to Happiness cook book (which I WILL try)

4 pack of crayons : wooden model ship : 8 smilie fridge magnets : Hershey’s Kisses post card

A copy of the Act I introduction to the Barber of Seville.

and a bunch of CDs, most of them unopened.

Midnight Oil by capricornia
the law of fives by obelisk
Fever In Fever Out by Luscious Jackson
The Mona Lisa’s Sister by grapam parker
Youssou N’Dour and his friends
and
Warped Tour '05 by Vans

Hope I didn’t forget anything.

Very cool selections. Thank You Twinkie

Twinkie, please tell me that my little elephant made it to you safe and sound. It went in the mail weeks ago…

I’m starting to get a little stressed… My elephant went out via Normal delivery, and the PO guy said it would take about 3 days.

I mailed it on the 7th. It’s still early, so maybe it showed up today. We’ll find out.

It came today
When I got home there was a little wrinkled grey fellow on my stoop huddled under the mailbox trying to stay dry.
I took him inside and as a a reward, he presented me with:
a blue monkey thing with a squeaker inside, that I tossed to Smokey who is now alternating between enjoying it and being bewildered by it (it only squeaks when shook)
a nightlight
a box of Altioids Cinnamon Gum
a clove scented candle in a jar
2 National Geographics
a user guide for an LG phone (but not the model I have)
some sheet music arranged in 4-part harmony
a study guide for the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer exam
a travel case of bandaids
3 DVDs (Passion of the Christ, the Westin Game, and Big & Hairy)
a packet of hot cocoa mix
a strange bullet shaped wooden thing with an old man’s face painted on it with several copper dowels sticking out the bottom - it says “Head Wizard” on the back - what is it?
some balloons and
some silk flowers, sans stems
Thank you, Tristan. But you must tell me - what in blazes is a Head Wizard?

Ah, the monkey. We called him the Phallic monkey, though he was a baby toy. Good times!
The Head Wizard… the deal with the head wizard, you’re supposed to bend the copper rods into a shape sort of resembling a diamond, then rub the wizard on your head as a means of scalp massage. Weird.

2 of the movies (the unopened ones) are regifts, the passion is a movie we watched once, and not beign Christian, had little interest in. Enjoy, or sell, or whatever.

Funny-- the silk flowers are actually from my Elephant from Dafisheroo, but I figured I could share the love.

Note: The national geograpics are cool 'cause they’re old. But not Super Old. I’m super glad it got there.

there was a notice from the usps when i got home tonight. it seems an elephant is having quite the time of it in the local post office.

i’m hoping to spring the pachy on thurs or friday.
