white hair

What’s the deal with them, what causes them, if I pluck them, will they regrow white again? Any way to avoid them or reduce more growing?

You are getting old.

You are still in the denial phase. Do not worry - more will soon join and you won’t be able to pass it off as a fluke occurrence. When it first happened to me - I plucked it out and looked at it close…

“Seems clear - not gray - this must just be a lone defective hair.” - is what actually crossed my mind.

Yes they will grow back white if plucked.

Lol. Yes they did seem clear. I hope it was a fluke. Lol

I’m pulling for you.

I take great delight that my sister has gotten over 50 - maybe 75% coverage of grey - while I get maybe 3-5%. She used to dye - so this was a drastic change - and led to a series of quick discoveries. People now mistake her as my aunt vs my sister. (Well really now the are thinking the is my uncles wife or sister). This delights me to no end.

Now there is a segment/demographic of the population which has found themselves a new target.

“You are looking fine tonight baby girl.” By men 20 plus years older.

I’m almost 68, and though I have a gray goatee and sideburns, the hair on top has maybe a dozen gray (white/clear) hairs. I love seeing people 20 years my junior with all-white hair.

Ah you people with hair slay me.

Here is a really neato little fact. I have extremely curly hair, so much so that I keep it long just to maintain some illusion of control. Now I looked it up and it says that curly hair is caused by asymmetrical follicles, so nearly all of my follicles must be so.

However, my white/gray hair comes in pin straight! So those follicles are now symmetrical!

WTF is up with that? I thought that was awesomely cool, if weird!
