William Holden palys a middle-aged television news executive who has an affair with the woman, (played by Faye Dunaway) who is wrecking his division. Peter Finch plays a news anchor who has gone insane , whose on-air tirade “I’m as mad as hell” taps into the national post-Watergate and Vietnam angst.
A synopsis of the movie’s plot can be foundhere. There are no Arabs and no mind control elements in the plot, although Dunaway’s character does hire a band of hippie revolutionaries to assassinate Peter Finch’s character live on television.

Actually, the show was not about how “rotten white people are.” It was about how evilly some white people have treated blacks throughout history. Of that I have no doubt.
As to thinking the races are unequal, I don’t equate that with evil, rather with lack of information. Literally ignorance. Likewise the wish to live separately is not explicitely evil, but definitely grounded in fear and hate.
By the way, the show I saw last night didn’t change my mind about anything, merely pointed out a few things I hadn’t known previously.
