Whitehouse consults Falwell on Judicial Nominess.. WTF?!

Sounds like a answer from a true Pharisee, first prove what “God’s” law is. Moses was not even founnd to be a historic person, at least there is no evidence of him existing,(Even if he was you are taking his word that God gave him the commandments)but there is evidence of the Israelites fighting in an other country when they were supposed to be slaves, plus, recent discoveries of the Pyramid builders showed they were highly paid and many came to help from many countries around.

If there was no adultry, murder, theft etc. thousands of years ago there would not have been a need for the 10 commandments, so the world hasn’t changed much, and the people who know and believe the commandments aren’t keeping them, So maybe they should first make sure they keep them themselves,
then tell others what to do when they are perfect, Jesus challenged the so called perfect people who were going to stone the prostitute," Let him who is with out sin cast the first stone". If your faith is strong enough you will let God decide who needs to be punished and what sin He decides is the worst in his eyes. If you believe in this God then you should grant Him to judge the morals of another or their intentions.

Their faith must be very weak to worry about it being challenged, Look back in History to the first Christians, they just went about doing their thing, there was no worry about their faith being taken away, true faith is an inner thing which only the believer can change.

:dubious:

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH

(Should I have included a  in the post that elicited this response?)

Falwell’s “apology” and Robertson’s backpedalling were pure bullshit. I was able to read the entire transcript a while back.

’'I think every good Christian ought to kick Falwell right in the ass." - Barry Goldwater.

Partial transcript of comments from the September 13, 2001 telecast of the 700 Club:

JERRY FALWELL: And I agree totally with you that the Lord has protected us so wonderfully these 225 years. And since 1812, this is the first time that we’ve been attacked on our soil and by far the worst results. And I fear, as Donald Rumsfeld, the Secretary of Defense, said yesterday, that this is only the beginning. And with biological warfare available to these monsters – the Husseins, the Bin Ladens, the Arafats – what we saw on Tuesday, as terrible as it is, could be miniscule if, in fact – if, in fact – God continues to lift the curtain and allow the enemies of America to give us probably what we deserve.

PAT ROBERTSON: Jerry, that’s my feeling. I think we’ve just seen the antechamber to terror. We haven’t even begun to see what they can do to the major population.

JERRY FALWELL: The ACLU’s got to take a lot of blame for this.

PAT ROBERTSON: Well yes.

JERRY FALWELL: And, I know that I’ll hear from them for this. But, throwing God out successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way – all of them who have tried to secularize America – I point the finger in their face and say “you helped this happen.”

PAT ROBERTSON: Well, I totally concur, and the problem is we have adopted that agenda at the highest levels of our government. And so we’re responsible as a free society for what the top people do. And, the top people, of course, is the court system…

JERRY FALWELL: Pat, did you notice yesterday the ACLU and all the Christ-haters, People For the American Way, NOW, etc. were totally disregarded by the Democrats and the Republicans in both houses of Congress as they went out on the steps and called out on to God in prayer and sang “God Bless America” and said “let the ACLU be hanged”. In other words, when the nation is on its knees, the only normal and natural and spiritual thing to do is what we ought to be doing all the time - calling upon God. ~~~

PAT ROBERTSON: > Amen

What? Pearl Harbor didn’t count? He can remeber 1812 but not 1941? Or does he not recognize the sinful 50th state? The White House consults* this* fuckin’ guy?

Thanks, you are a very funny person. I knew you were kidding, but I know people who think like that, just wanted to take the opportunity to make a point. Couldn’t take any one too seriously with a Edddy Teddy Freddy name, it has the ring of a comedian.

Strange attitude for them both, if this is a direct quote, Separation of Church and state means a secular Government, but protecting the rights of all people to practice their faith,or the right not to believe, is a must.
Why God hasn’t Blessed America yet is a big puzzle, other wise we would not hear people keep asking God to do so. To me it implies people keep pestering their God for things they all ready have.
People came to America in the first place to get away from other Christians who were forcing them to believe a certqin way, and it was other Christians, not Pagans or Atheists. The Salem witch trials are a example of that.

oops didn’t see the typo in certain.:(.
