Does anyone else find it particularly curious that whitetho hasn’t posted anywhere that I’ve seen since the shit hit the fan? Is he scared or just smarter than the rest of us by staying clear of the fray?
Satan and DB, (insert mandatory well wishing) the wit, honesty and rational thought which made you popular posters here is sorely lacking. For an issue which you guys beg privacy on, you two sure are screaming at the top of the lungs about it. Right or wrong, yelling your opinions isn’t moving you closer to the desired privacy you crave.
Now, what did I see transpire? Well I had an inkling of the budding love from the little jabs splattered around the board, I was made privy to the specifics over comments in the chat room, none directed at me but the clique didn’t feel I was threatening enough to halt their conversations, so I guess I was just a fly on the wall. I took that as a compliment, but now wish maybe it’d been more fun being on the outside.
The point that seems to have been barely touched on so far is that whitetho’s comments, while tacky and rude, weren’t gleaned from the physic realm. They were gathered from a variety of sources on this MB. That indicates that you two weren’t exactly private about your relationship. I knew before the chat room that there was something, but not definatively enough to proclaim it in a post as fact, and I had the good nature to not spill it in the interest of a fun game more so that your desire for privacy which was never made clear to me. The fact that I knew the details and had never been asked to keep it to myself leads me to beliave that many others were in the same boat, and its by luck that I never had a cause to refer to it because I had no idea it intended to be confidential. I can understand your desire to reveal it on your own terms, but the goal had been compromised long before whitetho’s outing.
Whitetho gathered his info on this MB, and therefore the info was out there in one form or another. You didn’t tell him in confidence, and therefore his exposing you is no more of a sin than being a wet blanket. Satan claims that he gathered this info from flirtatious remark he made before you two were a couple. He also claims he made these types of remarks to several women here. If this is the case, then why was he able to discern that it was you who was the betrothed? Basically the point is that the beans were spilled in some small pieces before his post so you can only blame yourselves or your confidants who poked fun with it.
Anyways, the sin you acuse him of isn’t worth the brimstone that has been brought about as a result, even if he were guilty of it.
I guess I hope that at some point you guys get a little perspective on this, and if not at least put it behind you and quit reminding everyone of how indignant you are.
