I hate to defend OMG, but I have to.
I’ve done that for 23 years of my life. It clearly doesn’t work. Not that the other method is working out too well, either, but it’s a lot easier to just say what you’re thinking than to hide it behind false civility.
The problem I have with OMG is that what he’s thinking is boilerplate conservative bullshit that is easily debunked. It covers up the rare occasions where he actually has a novel point.
This is a board where you guys have made it plain that you want people being assholes. Cries for “Hey, why don’t you try being nicer” gets you shot at with derision. The board has it’s good points, but the lack of hostility of its more vocal participants is not one of them.
