Who are you boycotting?

Jack Daniel’s, for watering down their whiskey yet again.

Wal-Mart…until the Fires Of Hell cool to ice.
Burger King/McCrudnalds–because the food’s really, really bad.
The City Cafe in Murfreesboro–because the owner’s kid punched a waitress.

Absolutely Jack Daniels even though they did respond to my complaints with a well written and thoughtful letter from the master distiller. I want the booze back, not an invite to tour your facilities.

Also on my list are:
Nike
7-11
Oberweis dairy
All fuel companies that purchase crude oil from Saudi Arabia
Cracker Barrel

McDonalds and Walmart for the usual reasons.
That pizzeria in Berri metro because they were homophobic to my ex.

Wal-Mart
Cracker Barrel
A local grocery store called Fisher’s - the customer service SUCKS. My husband goes there, though, so they still get our family money.
State Farm - for how they’ve treated people in a bunch of natural disasters lately.

Ava

Cluricaun, two words: Maker’s Mark.

Ben & Jerry’s
Benetton
all French products

Boy Scouts (won’t let my son participate for the obvious reason)

Diamonds

A local Cumulus-owned radio station (politics and bald-faced lies)

Wal-Mart (Superstore my ass!)
Nike (Since I was in high school.)

Is this true? I (still) won’t go to Exxon unless I’m road-tripping and running on fumes. I’d like to know if Mobil == Exxon so I can avoid them also.

The two companies merged into one, ExxonMobil. And I fill my gastank at both of them. Most of the gas stations are owned by independant owners or in small chains. None of the owners are named Hazleton.

TV. I haven’t watched TV in over 4 years.
Fast food restaurants
Japanese cars
The United Way
Video games
Michael Moore movies
Major beer manufacturers (Anheuser Busch, Miller, etc.)

Yahoo!
The RIAA
Christianity

Best Buy, for wanting to search my knapsack. I understand shoplifting is a problem, but I resent this.

I was surprised to see Southwest Airlines listed. That’s the only airline I’m NOT boycotting!

The city of Lindale Texas.

If there is a Satan he lives in and controls Lindale.
I haven’t been to a restaurant or gas station that the people weren’t evil.
It’s a ridiculously blatant speed trap. The pig actually approached our car with his hand on his gun, and then proceeded to ask the most ludicrous details like my mothers’ cell phone number and what church we attended. And he wasn’t just making conversation. The first time we were indeed going three miles over the limit and he clocked us from a driveway precisely on the other side of the lowered speed limit sign. The first time we let it go, after all we were speeding. The second time he just down right lied. I called a lawyer and he said there was noting we could prove and I said at least it will be in the town’s files and with enough complaints that would be the proof.
We won’t get gas there, even though it’s the cheapest for miles, or contribute to this town’s commerce what so ever.

Off the top of my head, I can list about 40 banned members who’ve involuntarily boycotted posting here on the SDMB.

Why the specific time frame?

That’s the running total. It will never end.

I lasped once on Circuit City. Never again.

Diamonds are the only thing I boycott for political reasons.
The rest are just companies that pissed me off at one time or another so I refuse to do further business with them:
Good Guys (Read my lips: NO…I…do…not…want…an…extended…warranty, so stop asking over and over and over)
AT&T: The telemarketer they subcontracted with just made up crap about a plan to get me to agree, and when I complained that I had been lied to, AT&T said it was the telemarketer’s fault and not theirs, and they wouldn’t honor the previous agreement and I had to take the real plan. I cancelled and refused to pay.
Fry’s Electronics: Awful and incompetant customer service. Horrible return policy.
Northwest Airlines: 2 flights from hell in one long weekend was the final straw.
Boys Market in Hermosa Beach, CA: Kicked me out when I was 14 accusing me of loitering in the booze section waiting to get someone to buy me alcohol (I was having trouble finding what I was looking for on the other side of the aisle). Never set foot in there again. 5 years later they were out of business. See, boycotting does work!
