Who are your favorite married sitcom couples?

If it not for Prop 8 so would Cam & Mitchell.

I was going to include Cam & Mitchell, spent several minutes trying to determine if they are married (they’re not). Not eligible.

I can’t believe I overlooked the Howells, the Stivics, the senior Barones, and the Kotters.
ETA: And Jay & Gloria
mmm

Tom and Barbara Good.

I have a soft spot for Paul and Jaime Buchman from Mad About You. The show debuted about 6 mos before Suburban Plankton and I got married. They were just a little older than us, and just a bit ahead of us in their relationship. There was just so much we could relate to.

Gomez and Morticia!

I’m conflicted about voting for them - they were my favorite early on, but Jamie was pretty unpleasant in the later seasons, though she never got as bad as Debra Barone. I’m going to write in Sean and Beverly Lincoln from Episodes since Chuck and Ned from **Pushing Daisies **weren’t married.

Yep. I checked the ‘other’ box for this reason.

^This. What I came in to vote for.

I was going to vote for a couple but now I’ve realized I guess I really don’t like any of these sitcom couples very much!

Where are the Buckets? Oooooh, I mean Bouquets… (Hyacinth and Richard)?

What I came here to say.

John Astin, in an interview, once noted that when The Addams Family was running a number of psychologists and marital counselors praised the show for showing a married couple that was actually physically attracted and passionate towards each other.

I checked only two: Bob and Emily Hartley, and Al and Peg Bundy. At first, I thought this was a strange pairing of pairs. But then I thought, no, I think they come from the same place: couples that truly love each other, but show it through snark and sarcasm. One example is more extreme than the other, of course, but still in the same vein.

No love for Stanley and Helen Roper?

Not even from each other.

Morticia & Gomez, hands down, no contest.

dan and roseanne is a great pick. i’m also a fan of red and kitty forman (that 70’s show).

Would have picked Gomez and Morticia if they were the movie versions, not the TV ones.

Should have added:

Foreman, Red and Kitty
Halpert, Jim and Pam (nee Beasley) (Does The Office count as a sitcom?)

I’d also have voted for Erickson, Marshall, and Aldrin, Lily

Not even Fred & Wilma? :frowning:

Still, even if you could have voted for them, I would still have voted for Gomez & Morticia Addams.

Yes, but Jim and Pam (who I considered) do not fit the requirements:
