I liked it. Not stunning but so what. I’m not understanding the hate.
Hey, I hadn’t heard of that site before! Thanks for the heads-up!
(:p)
The alarm call of the American liberal, “That’s not funny!”.
I’m sorry, but I think the leading alarm call of the American Liberal is “Help the Terrorists Help Themselves!”, or possibly “That’s not Marxist enough!”, both of which barely edge out “Why aren’t more of our children cross-dressing??!”
Oh, fuck off. No one’s offended. I just don’t see what’s so great about it. It’s just a bunch of on the nose commentary without any real point of view.
No one gets more offended more quickly than a religious conservative, by the way.
I like the Conservative alarm call: “We have to give handguns to fetuses so they can defend themselves against gay abortionists!”
Conservative alrm calls also include," Men kissing!" and “Someone doesn’t believe in Jesus!”
OK, now that was amusing. I dig it.
No, that’s the refrain of the last few people with taste in this country. I guess you have very little contact with us.
I agree. It’s the animated musical version of a Leno monologue. Heck, that’s probably why they keep being shown on the Tonight Show. They’re mildly amusing at best and not particularly offensive to anyone. Or you’re right on when you say it’s Mark Russell.
Funny things are all alike; every unfunny thing is unfunny in its own way.
Finally a slogan we can all get behind.
What’s the song they’re parodying?
Bob Dylan’s “The Times, They Are A-Changin’.”
It occurs to me that Obama hasn’t been on the national stage long enough, nor had enough scandals and gaffes for satirists to really sink their teeth into. Jokes about McCain’s age practically write themselves, but what’s sufficiently distinctive about Obama that can be comically exaggerated? True, we have a pic of him in some kind of African uniform and his fist-bumping with Michelle, but Fox News sucked all the potential humour out trying to panic (rather than entertain) people about them.
:smack: I knew that. I was even singing “the times, they are a-changing” over the chorus, but for some reason I thought it was wrong.
I liked the Dukes of Hazard one. they got the characters for each role perfect. I really like the one where bush learns to say foreign names too.
