Who did the voice over for TV Guide in the 70's???

Back in the 1970’s TV Guide had commercials with an “odd repetitious tone” that I remember well. But it’s the voice over I’m wondering about. My brother thinks it was Dan Rowan, I’m not so sure.

Anyone have a clue?

Wasn’t it Gary Owens, the announcer on Laugh-In?

I don’t think so. Listen to the ad on TVPARTY. It doesn’t sound like him. But it doesn’t sound like Dan Rowen either (not to me, anyway).
