Who do you think was the best beatle?

I have no answer for the OP’s question, but chuckle thinking of the National Lampoon Genius is Pain which includes the lyric (referring to George):

I find it easy to believe that both internal and external competition helped spur the Beatles, especially Paul, to greater creativity. For instance, it’s fairly well-known that hearing Pet Sounds was one of the things that influenced Paul to do Sgt. Pepper. Ah, the Sixties.

A competent drummer in a band of geniuses. But from Anthology, anyhow, he is certainly a nice guy. Though I must admit, after listening to some of the stuff on the Anthology CDs, I think the rest kept him bottled up.
I’d just love to hear the sound with a talent on drums close to George’s on guitar. A Billy Cobham might be too much.
