Who does the Republican establishment hate more: Cruz or Trump?

I’ll give you that - but his stated reason for it is that he doesn’t believe the Supreme Court is acting as it was intended to, and instead has become a kind of extra legislative branch that gets the last word. So instead of being the control valve on government overreach, it’s become the enabler of it. I don’t know if I buy that, but I think that’s what he believes.

Of course, if another two conservatives land on the bench, I suspect Liberals will start saying the same thing - and Republicans will react to that by claiming any criticism of the court is beyond the pale. What Cruz would do in that case I don’t know. But I honestly don’t think he’s motivated by personal power - he’s on a mission to fix what he sees as a broken system - not to build up personal power and profit. Donald Trump, on the other hand…

Said another way, there’s plenty of territory available for Tim Horton’s. As long as they don’t try a frontal assault through New England. They’d probably be fought to the death right at the border by DD & KK.

KK tried to make a go of it in New England, but got driven out by the masses of Dunks’ loyalists who prefer their coffee and doughnuts to have a little mass to them.

I may be wrong but I don’t remember anyone, on either side, come up with such a load of partisan bullshit as Cruz did.

And the smarmy bastard has the nerve to claim to be a Constitutional scholar.

After all, where was his outrage at “five unelected judges” in such cases as Hobby Lobby, Citizens United and the 2000 election (all 5-4 decisions)?
