How the hell did I make it to 3rd place? I was scraping bottom for most of the night.

I got on a weird kind of tilt at the ned there, last night. I was chip leader when nesta took about half of my chips when I was unable to price him out of a straight draw which he hit on the turn. kyy (congrats!) took another healthy bit and I was reeling, but definitely not on tilt.

Then what happened was (not on consecutive hands, but in a relatively short period of time) I got KK, AA and a 78 offsuit which I got to see flop and got a high straight right off. What put me on tilt was the fact that I got minimal action from all these hands. So my frustration at not being able to get my chips back with these hands got me to the point where I was betting poorly with only the second pair, (“OK, now you want to play with me.”)and stubbornly betting into what I probably should have been able to reason was a better hand.

So I was riding pretty high through the first hour and then crashed out in the second.

Well, I’m questionable for tomorrow and the week after. I’m going with a church group to a habitat for humanity project. Feel free to hail me as a wonderfully charitable and compassionate specimen of humanity. It’s not true, though. I’m chasing a girl who’s going.

Well, MissT layed it on 'em! When I left, OMD was on fire. Wish I could have stayed around and watched the fireworks, that must have been something coming down the stretch.
