Man this thing is quick, fast, and efficient. Easy to clean and cooks great food too. Mine came with a cookbook that has some really (surprisingly) tasty meals.
As to the claim that it reduces fat, I am a little dubious, but man can that grill do it all! I use it every night, I mean every night, to cook steaks or chicken and even grilled cheese.
The best part about it is that, if you are like me and hate to clean, even after sitting in grease and whatnot it comes clean in seconds, ready to be used again.
I’ll second the hot ham n cheese! It’s great for burgers and grilled cheeses, but I have yet to try a steak on it yet. For steaks I can use my Dad’s Sweetass[sup]TM[/sup] grill to cook em up just right, but as soon as I’m off to school, I’m taking to Foreman with me!
I’ve got the small one and I do like it for a limited amount of stuff like hamburgers and chicken breast. My problem is one of the main reasons I bought it was to cook steaks on but when ever I try the steaks are too thick to close the lid.
Do the bigger ones have more room as far as thickness goes?
I love my Grill! I think the most grilled thing on my grill has to be Pork Chops. It cooks Pork chops so well you would not believe! Just season with some salt and pepper and grill. A quick and easy grilled cheeze has to be #2 on my list. I highly recommend the Foreman Grill! A Must Have.
I just finished cooking up some hamburgers on mine. I really like it, especially for steaks. A nice sized New York strip fits nicely, although I do have to cook up a couple of them for a meal.
I hate cleaning mine, it’s kinda a pain in the butt. I have a gas grill right outside so I mostly use that. But the Foreman Grill sure makes great hash browns without using too much oil.
I got one of the smaller models a few years ago as a gift. I thought it was a piece of crap, but I tried it. I’ve never had better grilled salmon or swordfish. It’s great. Unfortunately, it’s so difficult to clean that I don’t use it as often as I would like.
Not to much to add other than the fact that I have a small one too and i also love it. Its not hard to clean, just plug it back in for a few seconds. Grab some paper towels. Wipe. BAM! Clean grill. Soap??? who needs it.

O yeah, how do you cook bratwurst on it? It seems like it cooks WAY to hot for that. I tried it once and it just burned the outside and the middle was still cold. Had to throw out 2 perfectly good chunks of seasoned pork rolls.
I have owned a *Family Size[i/] Foreman for almost 2 years, and I have used it extensively.
Cleaning has become more difficult over time as the heating surfaces have worn. The charred food and grease don’t wipe off easily like in the good ole days.
Yes, you can cook steaks on the giagantic sucker that I have. Lid height is not a problem.
I don’t do grilled cheese with the lid down. I do it one side at a time on the bottom. The weight of the massive lid flattens my sandwich into a tortilla.
I’d like to replace this one and also add a small one to my arsenal.
