In answer to the OP, i really don’t know. The article you linked to said that CIA people and the Pakistani government cooperated to capture him. I imagine the CIA people would be excluded from the reward given that they were doing their job (although i’m not certain about this).

The CIA, FBI and Pakistani authorities must have received intelligence from someone though; they are not psychics. Who ever tipped them off should receive the reward.

I hope whoever turned him in…gets the moola. I’m wondering if anyone knows exactly what methods the CIA is using to extract information; the news reports say that he is being held and questioned outside the U.S. where they have more leeway in questioning methods. Reports do say his family is in custody also.

The Hindustan Times reports that the 25 million reward money enticed an egyptian radical to rat on Khalid. The man came to the attention of the authorities by getting arrested at an al Qaeda safe-house. I wonder if he’ll donate any of his booty to charity ?

There is some doubt whether Khalid was actually captured or if so when. see http://www.complete911timeline.org/main/essayksmcapture.html . Quite frankly I don’t beleive anything about this whole issue anymore. there has been much too much spin and misinformation from our side
