Well, the IDF has pulled out…leaving behind over 5000 destroyed houses, and hundreds of wrecked commercial buildings. There is also infrastructure damage (sidewalks, roads, electric and water lines0 that need to be fixed.
Estimates are that the damage is upwards of $1,700,000,000.
So who will get the contracts? looks like there will be alot of jobs available. Any idea where the money will come from?
The Saudis have already pledged 1 bil, IIRC.
There is also political jockeying going on. Possibly, it’ll be Fatah associated-chosen folks who get much of the money rather than Hamas. The cash itself and its disposition will be intensely political.
