I filed mine on January 19. Anyone else?
Still waiting on some 1099’s and K-1’s.
I sent it in a couple days ago, but I’m only getting back a paltry sum. That’s good of course, since it means they weren’t holding onto my money without paying me interest on it - but it’s still pleasant psychologically to get a fat refund check.
I did, but then two days later I remembered something that I hadn’t put in, so as soon as they accept it, I have to file an amended one.
Oops.
I normally wait until mid Feb (by law IIRC 1099s and W-2 have to be mailed out by 1/31) to make sure I have everything, but just looking at my online comparison of what I filed last year to what I’ve filled in this year and going from memory, I think I only have two more 1099s to wait for.
Soon as I get my W-2’s. Probably be another month or so.
Did mine bright and early Saturday morning, both Federal and State.
Since I itemize, I can’t until Valentine’s Day.
My husband got his W-2 last week, but I haven’t received mine yet. As soon as I get both of them, I’ll call our preparer.
I came home from work this morning, checked my mail and saw that I’d received my W-2 yesterday. An hour later I e-Filed both Federal and State!
I have my W-2 and I think I have all my 1099’s so I will probably do it this weekend. I itemize so it takes a little bit.
We still haven’t gotten either of our W2s, nor most of the 1099s. Not that I’ve had the time in the past few weeks to do it, anyway.
Good grief, you people are on top of your shit. I’m not running to the post office at 11:45 p.m. or anything, but I’m at least waiting till it’s warmer, ferchrissakes. Then again, I live in Texas. Stuff is blooming by late February (suck it, CanaDopers!) so it’s not like I’m giving myself a huge extention or anything.
On a side note, you do not need to screech into the post office at 11:45 p.m. on April 15th this year. Monday the 18th is the official deadlinethis year.
I got sick so I haven’t filed yet. Math is bad enough when your head doesn’t already hurt.
But what does this have to do with Farmville?
Still waiting on a few 1099’s. If I wasn’t so lazy I’d set up online account access so I could download the 1099’s myself, but if I wait, they’ll mail 'em to me by the end of the month.
Did it January 15th. Expecting a decent refund.
Do you get a refund? I get like $3000 back (I pay a ton in mortgage interest…which is changing for me in 2011) so it’s worth it for me to get my money back as soon as I can.
My dad used to wait until the last minute, because he always owed. Once he retired and started getting a bit back, he’s on me for helping him with the Turbo Tax right quick.
Of course not. I’ve yet to get even one form from an employer or my college loan holders yet.
I handed out W-2s to my employees on December 29th, but they were actually done and ready December 27th.
I’m Canadian, but our tax return is due about the same time as yours. I’m planning on filing once I had all of the forms from my employer, the banks, etc, but supposedly I should expect that before the end of Feb.
