I’d like to send my kids some good cookies (or other baked goodies) for Christmas. I’ve had stuff from Fiji’s and I wasn’t that impressed.
It’s December 18 already!?!

I like the fruit galettes from Harry & David’s
Though I bought the ones I’m giving away from a local outlet mall, and I still thought the price was sky-high.
So look over the catalog, but pay attention to the amount you get for the price.
I mean, I’m sure everything that Harry & David’s sells is wonderful and worth every penny, but I still think someone has to be careless about money not to cringe at some of their prices.
Cheryl’s, for sure.
Thanks! I waited too long to get something from Harry & David’s without paying a lot for shipping, but Cheryl’s has a couple of items that’ll get there on time, with free shipping even. Cool!
I came in to say what Drain Bead beat me to. I had a Cheryl’s snickerdoodle this morning and it was mighty fine!
Now I’m tempted to order some for me.
And you can toss the individual cookie bags from Cheryl in the freezer and pull them out when you need a snack! If they last long enough to make it into the freezer!
The good people at one of the law firms I visit got me a tin of Christie Cookies, and they were oustanding. Very chewy and moist. I particularly loved the oatmeal raisin and white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies.
Moving thread from IMHO to Cafe Society.
When I was in Seattle, I had cookies at Specialty’s Bakery that were the best cookies I’ve ever tasted. The wheatgerm chocolate chip ones are the best!
Thanks again – Cheryl’s cookies are a hit. #2 son called to ask if it was okay to open the box, since it wasn’t Christmas yet when the cookies arrived. He’s chomping away immediately – “These are really good!” “Don’t talk with your mouth full!”
Fairy Tale Brownies.
Fabulous.

I’ve heard that St. Julians in Sandown NH makes some amazing macaroons. It’s in my town, but we’ve never gotten any… not sure why. I have seen them on Food TV a few times, and seen great reviews online.
I think “David’s Cookies” are scrumptious (they have a mail-order website but I can’t do the linky right now.)
