Who heckled Obama during his address to Congress?

And only if you hit the target square between his beady eyes.

I see what you did there.

And you will never, ever find liberals doing that. No, Sir, not ever.

Is this selective memory, I wonder, or a case of seeing what you want to see?

Not when the president is talking at least.

There are loud and stupid Democrats too. But the Republicans are run by the loud and stupid.

Hi. “Nuh uh no you are” is not a valid defense.

Carry on.

*Nuh Uh it’s you!

You do that! YOU YOU YOU YOU YOU!
*

In texting, that’s just “no u”. But you don’t often see that stated by somebody past middle school age.

I thought all of the republicans behavior during the address was pretty pathetic. The whole “do we clap for this point?” element of addresses is quite annoying. Whenever there was an applause moment you could see on the republicans’ faces looks of “wait, what did he say? Do I agree with that? Will it look bad if I clap?”

If they ever did decide to clap, it was always a second or two after everybody else.

Some of the points they didn’t clap to were kind of surprising. Things like “Americans not dying is good.”

And the way they all went bonkers over the thing about malpractice liability limits was just sad. It’s like their one thing. Affordable healthcare for everybody? Meh. No limits on coverage? Whatever. Not having to worry about malpractice lawsuits? WOOOT OMG BEST IDEA EVER THIS WILL SAVE AMERICA!!!

It is a good idea, but the ferverence with which they cling to the idea is ridiculous. Don’t studies show that limiting malpractice layouts would save like 0.5% of the cost of healthcare? I’m sure the insurance companies would love it if they didn’t have to keep paying out multi-milion dollar payouts when their doctors screw up, though. But wont the republicans think of the lawyers?? I guess the insurance lobby trumps the lawyer lobby.

The whole attitude around this healthcare thing makes me want to throw up forever.

Tin-foil hat time: They cling to this one issue, refuse to support anything else, and when the malpractice limits are all that make it through, turn around and attack Obama for not saving enough money.

I think the whole plan is to just relentlessly try to stop any kind of reform from passing, so when the mid-terms come around they can all say, “Look, the democrats couldn’t even get healthcare passed! Re-elect us!”

Because Americans’ healthcare is a political bargaining chip.

This wasn’t officially one, but you’ll see that silly shit in every single damn State of the Union address.

Some voters still have sense - “You Lie!” Wilson now trails challenger

Democrats Give Wilson Ultimatum: Apology or Punishment

Miller to Wilson: Thanks a million!

Yep, Wilson’s outburst has caused his opponent to make over a million and counting in campaign donations. Ouch.

And Wilson will get money from the repubs who place big value on being ill- mannered and and loud. Palin will probably give him a big kiss.

It is bigger than that. If he gets a working system in place ,the repubs will have nothing to run on. This is an issue the repubs were pushing for a long time. They knew it had to be fixed. But, they always kowtow to big business, even when the country is at risk. They did not have the guts to stand up to the healthcare and pharm industries. They still do not.

I thought the choice of Palin was a Hail Mary and one day he will probably admit it too. He lost his integrity when he decided to make nice with the Pat Robertsons and Grover Norquists of the Republican party in order to get the “base” to vote for him.

The Republican party has jumped the shark and Bricker is still a fan because he liked some of the earlier episodes.

Winner winner chicken dinner.

Wilson is doing just fine, thank you very much.

Just as liberals have poured cash into the campaign of Rob Miller, who lost to Wilson by almost eight percentage points in 2008, conservatives are* pouring contributions into Wilson’s campaign at an astonishing rate***.”

“Republicans expect Wilson to also top more than $1 million by Monday because of the immense publicity he’s received in the last 48 hours.”
