Forget about his own race or Democrats vs. Republicans. What Herschel Walker really wants to know is who is favored in the runoff between vampires and werewolves.
So he is team Edward? (That’s the vampire, right?)
Brian
ETA he actually preferred werewolves, so team other guy
This is getting a ton of play today, but explaining the plot of Fright Night is probably the most relatable thing I’ve seen from him.
Except no werewolves in Fright Night.
Brian
Team Jacob, my friend.
That was hysterical.
I watched the whole thing trying to find the political angle. I thought I had it when he insinuated that the vampire looked like Warnock, but then he went on and on about how nothing could kill the vampire but faith …….or werewolves. Plus he complimented the vampire on being cool.
Wow. Just Wow.
He clearly thinks he is the most entertaining person in the world. Like Jake LaMotta doing standup.
I didn’t say it was accurate. I said it was relatable.
If you close your eyes and listen to the rambling, you might think it’s Keenan Thompson doing a SNL sketch of a Walker campaign speech.
Oooo. Yes.
Dollar side too.

Kemp’s turnout apparatus is solid though.
How smart are the voters? I guess we’ll see.
Another poll with very good news.
What’s up with that?
Well, it’s better than being behind, but why in hell isn’t a lead well into double digits? What is wrong with those people?
Have any jurisdictions in Georgia removed Walker from the ballot for being constitutionally ineligible to the position, since he’s a resident of a different state?
No because all he has to do is say he made a mistake in Texas, pay the taxes he owes there, and he’s a resident of Georgia. It’s not really any kind of gotcha aside from meaning he shouldn’t have received tax breaks for claiming residency in Texas.
It’d be nice if that really made him ineligible but it doesn’t.
As reported by CNN, Walker’s Texas tax break is unlikely to present any legal issues for his campaign’s legitimacy. Georgia law has 15 rules for determining residency when running for political office that are flexible. In addition, the U.S. Constitution requires only that a candidate resides in the state where they are running when and if they are elected. Instead, the issue could cause yet another image problem for the campaign.
Although, I note he has not done this yet. Of course, what he’ll REALLY do is keep his Texas residency for tax purposes after he loses and will not pay any additional taxes.
That is the most likely scenario. The residency requirement in this case would only matter when it comes time to take office. It means nothing before then, due to Georgia’s flexible laws.
I’m not an American but from what I’ve read on US politics is that “libertarians” usually espouse right wing views. Given that the libertarian support was more than the difference between the democrat & Republican candidate, and with the libertarian candidate now out, doesn’t this by-election essentially ensure a win for the Republican candidate? (Assuming the republicans get their vote out)
