Two years before the beginning of the 12th Baktun of thr Mayan calendar, Will Shakespeare died. Six months before this baktun began was “the defenestration of Prague” (no, they did not throw the whole city out the window, just a couple of catholic interlopers trying to rule the city). Two years into the baktun, the Mayflower landed on Cape Cod. This turn-over has been a long time coming, and it does not happen very often, I should hope it calls for some hearty parties. I mean, it is on a Friday. Anybody have anything planned?
