The one where Kathy Griffin plays a security guard and wands the guy making the noise herself so she can get the “Sierra Mist.”
Both the guys in the commerical look familiar. Anyone know who they are?

The skinny fellow is Michael Ian Black. I can never remember the other fella’s name.
The other guy is Jim Gaffigan.
That’s him! :smack:
Michael Ian Black - who used to be on “Ed” and someone named Jim Gaffigan who seems to have done enough stuff to be familiar looking.
Gaffigan’s standup has been getting some substantial airtime on Comedy Central, I think.
We’re on the same wavelength. Now if only I could be this fast on trivia nights…
if only I had the imdb available on trivia night - but someone might think that “unfair” or something
Michael Ian Black…a comedy black hole…
When he’s on the air, not only is what he on completely unfunny, every show for a 5 channel radius has all the funny sucked out of it.
Wow thanks for the quick response. I knew I saw them somewhere, just couldn’t remember
Says you. I thought he was funny in all of those I Love the [Decade]s shows, as tired and overplayed as they may have been.
I’m also a big fan of Wet Hot American Summer and Stella. Well, when Stella was on the air.
I also think Black is hilarious as 1/3 of Stella. Do you remember far back enough to *The State * (brilliant MTV sketch comedy show in the early '90s) or *Viva Variety * (faux-European variety show with Black and fellow State alums Kerri Kinney and Thomas Lennon, both now on Reno 911)?
Jim Gaffigan may also be remembered as the motorist who fell victim to the troopers’ “Meow” gag toward the beginning of Super Troopers.
His nice-a white-a suit-a was the best, though. Hey, he was-a the Pope-a!
I know Jim Gaffigan as the pathetic restaurant manager in That 70’s Show.
I liked Black in Viva Variety.
My family quotes that sketch all the time, even 15 years later, whenever food (and the possibility of spills) is in the picture. “Oh no! And the Pope-a, he is-a comin’!”
You all have done your small part in fighting ignorance today. All this time I thought the guy whose Sierra Mist is taken was the guy from “Lost” who is/was in love with his stepsister. You have to admit there’s a resemblance.
By the way, the black woman in line behind them is Debra Wilson, formerly of *Mad TV * (and a common talking head in those VH1 or E! list shows), and she’s appeared in some other Sierra Mist commercials before the airport one (also with Griffin, Black, and Gaffigan).
Funnily enough, Stella and The State are exactly why I’ve determined that Michael Ian Black is the Anti-Comedy. Stella is not funny on any level, and The State is the second worst sketch comedy ever - second only to Comedy Inc, featuring the Canadian answer to MIB, Roman Danylo.
I wanna stick my balls in you.
Dammit!!!
Dip my balls in you. Not stick them in you.
I ruined the joke. :smack:
