Who is least "roast-worthy"?

The Charlie Sheen Roast thread got me wondering: who (alive or dead) would make the least effective celebrity roast meat?

I think I would be bored and underwhelmed with:

Mr. Rogers
Wally Cox
Joyce Brothers
Walter Cronkite
Edwin Newman
Jimmy Carter
Helen Hayes

Please don’t tell me any of these were actually roasted!

Jimmy Carter would be good. Didn’t he get attacked by an amphibious rabbit?

I’ll go with Alan Greenspan for boring.

I’d be down for roasting Alan Greenspan - “irrational exuberance” indeed…

I’m wondering what a Paul Newman roast would be like. Or maybe Jimmy Stewart.

Hell yeah! Ayn Rand’s butt-boy has it coming.

Along those lines:

Gregory Peck
George C. Scott
E.G. Marshall
Robert Young

A Roast requires respect for the person’s contribution to the world, it’s really public joking about a person you genuinely care for.

Flavor Flav and Bob Saget had no business being roasted.

Living people who’d probably be hard to roast:

Alan Alda
Carol Burnett
Jane Lynch

Lynch has a reputations as being super nice, and Alda and Burnett are so iconic with no real scandals.

I’ll give you Flav, but Saget deserves - nay, demands - respect, if only for his two pillars of comedic acheivement: his performance in “The Aristocrats”, and his plaintive country crossover song, “My Dog Licked My Balls”.

What you guys don’t get is that it’s the *nice *guys who make the best roastees. The point is to mock people who don’t usually get mocked.

Captain “Sully” Sullenberger.

Tom Hanks. After you make a few cross dressing jokes, you’re just picking on a nice guy.

The Dalai Lama
Nelson Mandela

OJ

Oprah? Not that I wouldn’t like to see those brave souls doing the roasting, but I wonder if the laser beam glare from Oprah would strike them all dead.

Stephen Fry?
Stephen Hawking?

In fact maybe any Brit called Stephen.

I think Howard Stern would be damn near impossible to roast. Not only has he publicly embraced everything that could possibly thrown at him, but he’s done it so outrageously and hilariously that no standup comic could possibly compete.

The only successful Howard Stern roast would be a clip show of Howard Stern taking himself down.
