Who is smarter Homer Simpson or George W. Bush?

Well, who is it?

Considering Homer is a cartoon character and George Bush is leader of the most powerful contry in the world, I’ll have to give this one to Dubya.

Homer Simpson is a fictional character. George W. Bush is a real President of the United States. There is no comparison. The creators of The Simpsons would never try to sell us that Homer was so stupid he choked on a pretzel.

While George Bush could no doubt demonstrate intelligence by, say, determing which of three shapes is a triangle, he hasn’t had nearly the range of wordly experience that Homer has. Homer’s been an astronaut, clown, grifter, musician, and tonic salesman, among many other things. That kind of experience is going to beat straight-up book learning any day.

Well, one is a slobbering idiot, who can’t form complex thoughts, is childishly simple-minded, and doesn’t know how to raise his children.

The other one is a fictional cartoon.
That’s my joke answer. My real answer is that W is purty smart, what with his college degrees and all. Don’t get all your news from Leno and Letterman.

This is a poll, and a moronic one at that, and half the question refers to a non-arts/entertainment figure, so I’ll move it to IMHO. See if Czarcasm wants to close it.

Yeah, and Homer’s not as dumb as we give him credit for (or rather, don’t give him credit for).

He’s shown intelligence in being a con man, plus he helped get back Springfield’s lemon tree. And he was smart enough not to take that fatal cannon ball that could have killed him.

BZ00000, I gotta hand it to you, you’ve outdone yourself again. Thanks for lowering the bar for all of us.

I guess I would have to say that George W Bush and Homer Simpson are both smarter than BZ000000.

Who is BZ000000?

Moderator’s note:

I’m* closing this because it’s just plain too stupid to live. At the most charitable interpretation it’s barely a pseudo poll and degenerating from there.

Lockdown.

TVeblen,
the other IMHO moderator, and yes, I’m looking at you, Ike

Harumph.
