Disco Stu. He was funny ONCE, because his name was the joke. Since then, he has gone steadily downhill.
I adore Hans Moleman, Ralph, Moe, and my secret sweetie, Dr. Nick Riviera . .

Ok Dante you need to back off the Frink. The Frink rules…specially with his natural delivery of the inevitable sci fi angles and cliches
“We must stop this for my conclusions find that the robots will amok in a orgy of blood and gore and the hurting in the next week or so” <Robot rises and begins to strangle one of the scientists> “Whoops forgot to carry the 2”
My vote goes to Sober Barney. Drunk Barney was so much more good for the laugh in his very lush filled antics (who couldnt crack a smile as he admitted to making sweet sweet love to Moe’s pool table) and who could ever forget his infamous line:
“All I can remember about the last 3 months was giving a guest lecture at Villanova…or maybe it was a street corner.”
Ah Villanova…they will put anyone behind a podium nowadays I hear.
Sober Barney…BAH!
Me speak bad English? Thats UNpossible!
My cat’s breath tastes like cat food.
[Ralph]Principle Skinner and Mrs Crabapple were in the closet and they were making babies and then one of the babies looked at me.
[Chief Wiggum] The baby looked at you!?
Now leave poor ralph alone!
You have to keep lunch lady Doris, otherwise you would have never had this classic exhange:
[Groundskeeper Willey]Lunch Lady Doris, ave ya eny grease?!!
[Lunch Lady Doris](looks thoughtful) Yes…yes we do.
[Groundskeeper Willey](rips off shirt) THEN GREASE ME UP WOMAN!!
[Lunch Lady Doris]Okey dokey.
Common you can’t get rid of old Gil old Gils just about to hit his stride shut up Gil don’t give them an excuse you just gotta keep old Gil!
I’m glad we don’t see Sideshow Bob anymore. The Cape Fear episode was funny and the episode where the guy who plays Frasiers brother played Sideshow Bobs brother was pretty funny, but I don’t see much more from Bob.
Disco Stu - agreed, it was one quick (very funny) joke that shouldn’t have been stretched into an actual character.
Sideshow Bob - I’m sick of Sideshow Bob, although the one where he ran for mayor was really funny. “Bob’s Fraud Log” was pretty classic.
Professor Frink - I really can’t stand Prof. Frink. I hate the stupid extended Jerry Lewis “impression” that we’re “treated” to every time he appears.
Gil - Oh god do I hate Gil. I’ve heard that he’s a reference to Jack Lemmon in Glengarry Glen Ross before, all that means to me is that I now will NEVER see that film. Gil infuriates me.
Sober Barney - Sober Barney is like a smart, calm Homer, or a kind and gentle Mr. Burns - totally defeats the purpose.
As an aside, I’ve recently realized that Jimbo Jones is probably my favorite minor character.
“Now my pants are chafing!”
Sideshow Bob, without a doubt.
and its:
Skinner: Ralph Wiggam
Ralph: I won, I won!
Skinner: No Ralph, it means your failing English.
Ralph: Me fail English, that’s unpossible!
I really hate Krusty. I can’t stand the episodes focused around him.
Back off on Frink Dante … he’s the best damn character in the show, him and Carl…
Frink: Unshrink you? Why that would require some kind of RE-Bigulator, which is a concept so crazy that makes me want to laugh out loud, GLAIVEN…
If there’s one character that needs to be Shot its Mr “Ai stole dis fidel from ay blind monkay, but yu sur make me sic”
Has Dr. Hibbert done anything funny in the last decade?
What a one-trick pony.
The one Dr. Hibbert-centered show that was really good was the one with Hugo…Bart’s evil/good separated siamese twin. Now THAT was a great episode.
Lisa: “Actually, they prefer to be called CONJOINED twins.”
Hibert: “And Hillbillys want to be called Sons of the Soil. But it ain’t gonna happen.”
Mandula Nahassapeemapetalon (sp?). All of the aforementioned characters (with the exception of sober Barney) has said at least one funny thing. Aside from her “Fried Green Tomatoes” line (which was more droll than funny) she has yet to make that distinction. Not ot mention that I haven’t seen Sanjay since she appeared.
Seems like everyone’s mentioned all the characters I hate with a passion (Ralph, Moe, Gil, Manjula, Disco Stu, Sideshow Bob) so I’ll have to go with Cap’n McAllister (the Sea Captain).
Oh, and Sherri & Teri. Yeesh.
The Sea Captain kicks ass! I even found a web site of Cap’n McAllister quotes: http://www.snpp.com/guides/captain.html#11
Somce faves
“You’ll win her yet Arty…I mean ARRRGHH-ty”
“Yarr, it’s kind of you to deliver these copies of ‘Jugs.’ They’ll keep my men from resorting to homosexuality… fer about 10 minutes. Harr, harr, harr.”
Marge: “No! We’re not sending the lobster away to some snobby boarding school.”
McAllister: “Yarr, I understand. Its hard to let go. Tell me this
then, do you have any spare change?”
