Who is this portrait on Tiananmen Square?

I was at Tiananmen on Tuesday with my parents(who are visiting China) and there was a portrait teporarily on display by the Monument to the Peoples’ Heroes.

I guess it’s on display only for this week, but I’m not sure who it is. Anyone know?

Here’s a link.

Looks like Sun Yat-sen.

It’s definitely Sun Yat-sen. Wikipedia’s article on him has what looks to be the original photograph that portrait was made from.

That’s definately Dr. Sun Yat-sen, founder of the KMT and author of the Three People’s Principals.

Something tells me it has to do with the visit of Lien Chen and now James Soong.

Thanks, everyone!
