Who is your hero?

For this survey I have to fill out, one of the questions is “who is your hero.” Can you think of a clever, not-too-glib, but kind of facetious answer. I was leaning towards batman, because he takes care of criminals without those unfair superpowers like spiderman et al. Or maybe hannibal lechter, for staying cool under pressure. thoughts?

Ripped Shirt Kirk?

Uwe Boll

He has somehow foraged a remarkably lengthy film career despite having absolutely zero talent.

Actually, any time “Your favorite Superhero” comes up in conversation (which, admittedly, is +/- twice a year), Batman is always my favorite for exactly that reason. Kicks supervillan butt with just intelligence, athleticism, and nifty gadgets.

Cecil Adams

Hands down winner: Scrat! Keeps his eye on the prize and never gives up.

Runner up: Wile E.*

*Pun absolutely intended!

Well duh! It’s got to be Homer Simpson.

Emperor Norton.

Kind-hearted, brave, generous and just. Beloved by millions, and loopy as a fruit bat.

Personally, I consider him to be one hell of an inspiration.

Another vote for Batman.

Have you read the Neil Gaiman “Sandman” story?

Shane McGowan, Hunter Thompson, Jello Biafra, Bill Hicks, Ween, Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Chuck Taylor, the evil sensei from the Karate Kid.

My daughter Brooke.

Is this a work-related application or something? I wouldn’t pick Batman or anyone fictitious if that’s the case. I’d go with a father, or mother, or brother, or uncle, or someone like that: someone who has been a role model in your life. Perhaps even a doctor or a mentor of some sort.

Roadrunner goes ‘beep beep’??

Borrow mine: Don Quixote.

It depends on the day and time. I throw the term around loosely. I’ll tell someone they are my hero for brewing the coffee in the morning. I’ll also claim to be other people’s hero for small things I do in return. So, I’m your hero now, right?

Bender B. Rodriguez. I adore his swarthy Latin charm.
