Téa Leoni gets my vote.
When she was starring in the TV series The Naked Truth she was billed as the next Lucile Ball, and I could really see it.
But then a bunch of movie roles that didn’t use her at all. Even as the love interest in the comedy Hollywood Ending didn’t give her any funny lines.
Cuba Gooding Jr.
Christian Bale. The man just isn’t trying.
Nick Cage keeps drawing clunkers. Keifer Sutherland needs some better choices. Tim Curry runs about 50/50, I wish he had better taste in scripts.
Since he’s getting $20,000,000 per clunker, plus a cut of the gross, I don’t think he really gives a rats ass.
Robert De Niro and Al Pacino.
What the hell happened to them? They just take anything now.
David Arquette. I would have said Brendan Fraser, but he’s getting better about things.
I really, really want to see Sandra Bullock make better movies. I was smitten with her in Demolition Man and as her star rose in films like Speed and While You Were Sleeping, I became an adoring fan. But she’s been in a lot of awful movies since then. I think she’s a great comedic actress–but she keeps trying to do other things (In Love and War, Murder by Numbers, etc.) Even when she sticks to light comedies, she has made mostly bad movies. Two if by Sea, Force of Nature, Practical Magic–all horrible. Speed 2 sucked. Hope Floats was only a little better. Miss Congeniality was a stupid movie but it allowed Sandra to do what she does best and she shines above the material. Her charm and personality are magnetic. She really needs better roles.
Ditto on Cuba Gooding Jr. He was the first name I thought of when I opened this thread.
He should have learned the lesson his character did in Jerry McGuire and stuck with his original agent.
