Who remembers the Questar comic?

Back in the 1970’s there was a big one-shot comic book/graphic novel named “Questar.” My copy seemed to be an anthology from other comics, although I don’t remember their titles. The stories in it were great: there were adaptations of “Flight of the Horse,” “Does a Bee Care?” “The Music of Minox,” “The Crystal Singer,” and a number of other famous SF stories, along with a number of stories that I have never seen before or since. (One was an end-of-the-world story in which a group of scientists built a spaceship so that some colonists could escape, but a group of cultists were trying to stop them with “poison ray” guns that would split the hemoglobin in your blood into poisonous peptides. In the end, the Earth cracked open like an egg and an infant creature flew out of it.)

Who else has seen this comic? Intriguingly, my copy was entitled “Questar 2,” implying the existence of a Questar 1 that I could never find.

It sounds VERY familiar, though not the story you mentioned…maybe I saw the first.
