Who should be the next President on "24"?

Jack? Bill Buchanan? Chloe?

Curtis. Self-rescuing President.

Henderson!

We need to fill up the next few seasons somehow.

How about Secretary of Offense Heller?

That would seem to be the most likely choice, unless he gets caught in the crossfire in the coming feud between the Bauers and the Logans. Jack can be the chief-of-staff (finally poor Mike Novick gets to take a vacation), but naturally he’ll be forced to resign that post and return to CTU in hour 2.

Excellent idea. The new terrorists would be Cubans. They could have obtained nukyular missiles.

Oh yeah – and then Heller could get assassinated. Somehow.

Which will take only 15 minutes, even if Jack is in Washington, D.C.

I jumped in to say Heller would be a great president, but (for dramatic conflict) I wouldn’t mind seeing President Leland Palmer. I mean, the current VP.

Dramatic conflict? Puh-leez. If you want drama, make Kim Bauer the Commander-in-Chief.

Either her or Machine Gun Chloe.

Or Secretary of State. She’d make John Bolton look like the Dalai Lama.

I’m still hoping that Sherry Palmer isn’t really dead. She’d make an interesting President.

My vote’s for Sec Def Heller – a suggestion I made earlier in this week’s thread, too. The 24-verse needs a non-wussy president who’s capable of making a decision for a change. And Heller’s not afraid to kick some ass, too.

However, if they make him Prez, then it’s easier for Jack to do his job. So they’ll surely saddle us with another Prez who makes it harder for Jack to do his job, so he’ll have to spend more time going rogue.

We could always have President Keeler return to office – he could run the country from his hospital bed in the ICU, which is where he probably still is, for all we know. His Vice President could be Lynn Kreske, helping out from the next bed in her full body cast.

Personally, I wouldn’t actually mind, for a CRAZY change of pace, to see Jack actualyl work for CTU the entire season (something that has only happened in two out of the five seasons) and for him to have full backup the entire time (the closest to this was season three, where it looked like he was rogue, but he was just double undercover.)

Chef. Er, Issac Hayes.
Great vocals, he needs the work since South Park tanked for him, and it would answer the question in that famous thread, “Could a Scientologist be President?”

A black President?

Yeah, and just wait until she gets caught in a couger trap on the way to the mideast peace talks.

It worked in blazing saddles.

Well, as Phil Leotardo said on The Sopranos a week ago, my estimation of Secretary Heller just *(#!ing plummeted. Is Leyland Palmer now our only hope, or will Heller redeem himself before the end of the day?

Just like President Palmer from seasons 2-3!

I’m liking the suggestion of zombified Sherry Palmer as president though.
