Except Rupert never voted for Rudy. He was the sole member of Saboga that didn’t vote for him.
If you’re going to hate on the man, make sure your argument is based in (no pun intended) reality.

After Kathy little kissass speech to Boston Rob when she explains why she votes for him in the final two she will NEVER get my vote. I liked her before the show started but I hold her in contempt right now.
I voted Rupert because the game needs a little infusion of nice. I know it’s survival of the fittest and all that but very few winners have made me feel good watching them. Rupert does.
I couldn’t agree more. What is it about Rupert that has everyone falling all over themselves trying to make him into some sort of icon? The guy is a loser. He didn’t win a single immunity challenge, he failed at every “intellectual” challenge (unlike Boston Rob, who most here conveniently forget about), and when given construction tools, built a hut an the frickin beach! The beach! In the rainy season! Could anyone be more colosally stupid?
I think a lot of people here hate Rob because he has a flat stomach and got the hot girl, while Rupert is chubby and awkward, therefore he must be more worthy.
I’ll vote for Rob M., who won’t win but was so much better than any of the others. Others deserving of the win are the ones who played well - Colby, Ethan, Shii-Ann (at least she tried, and she was right), and Amber.
I can’t stand the drama queens who use their own failures as a way to beat up on the better players. Tom, Lex, Sue, Cathy - I’m looking at you.
No, you’re right. Jenna seems like a genuinely nice and sincere person–maybe a bit of a motormouth, but not so emotional that she didn’t do what she had to (axe Rupert) when it came down to the game. I don’t doubt for a second that she would’ve lasted longer in the final immunity if she hadn’t done the inadvertent leg slip. She’s a good contender for this next million as anyone.
Oh, and Chastain86, I know Rupert didn’t vote for Rudy, but he knew 100% that Rudy was going and didn’t do one thing to try to stop it or help his “ally”. In his twisted little world of honor, as long as he doesn’t write the actual name down, he can be just as complicit and still have a clear conscience. Shmuck.
Rupert is such a whiny baby I am so hoping anyone but him gets the money. I’m not the only one, check out this thread at TWoP.Operation Deny Rupert
Since if anyone posted the link, I missed it:
The four players I am considering voting for are Kathy, Rupert, Shii Ann, and Tom.
Pretty pitiful.
Unfortunately, you can vote more than once so it’ll all come down to whose friends/fans/family has the most time on their hands. I’m going to vote for Rupert. Admittedly, I’d never seen a single episode of Survivor until this season and I only saw the last four or five episodes before the finale so I don’t really “know” the other players, or even Rupert. I just like 'im.
I actually watched all their pleas. Let me see if I can fairly recap:
Alicia - defiant. Said she played with “in-your-face” honesty and if that’s your style, you should reward her.
Tina - Said she neither deserved nor wanted the million. Suggested that people vote for someone who would do something good for other people.
Jerri - Said she would use the mil to create “positive” reality shows.
Ethan - Said he’d give all the money away by dividing it amongst all the survivors’ favorite charities.
Colby - Said he was the only player to stick to his alliance to the end, even knowing full well that honoring his alliance would lose him the million.
Amber- Said she’d won a car and a million already, but what the hell, she’d take another.
Boston Rob - Basically said he deserved to win because he played the best game.
Rob C. - Promised to give Rupert half the money and take Tom out to dinner.
Rudy - Said he’d give the money to his kids.
Sue - Said, face it, she hooked us all in during Season 1. And if we didn’t vote for her, she hoped we died in the desert and that we slowly decayed til there was nothing left of us but our teeth (then she
Rupert - Said he’d use the money for his family, his “kids” (the kids he counsels), etc. Hoped that the third shot at a million would be a charm.
Kathy - Said she’d put half of it into her foundation. Said she knew how to play the game and played well.
Lex - I honestly forget what he said. Guess it wasn’t memorable.
Jenna M. - Said she’d give it to charity.
Jenna L. - Said she’d love the money, but she urged people to vote for the person she betrayed, Rupert.
ShiiAnn - Said she played a solid game.
Tom - Said he went the farthest, if you count the number of days he stayed cumulatively, than any other survivor.
Richard - Made some flip short comment which I don’t remember.
There you have it! Me, I’m flipping my vote between Rob C. and Ethan. So far, I’ve voted about 8 times.
Snarky! Anyway, I don’t think it’s pitiful, Rupert is a sexist hypocrite, I don’t know why anyone would want to give him more money then he has already gotten.
Very pitiful that you’d believe that crap.
Finally went over to vote (Rob C.) – hey! no one told me about the other categories! I did vote for Rupert for “Best Survivor moment ever” (stealing the shoes).
After watching the pleas, I had it narrowed down to Rob M., Colby, Rob C. and Rudy.
Colby - I thought he deserved to win over Tina, but he admits in his tape he took her with him, knowing he would lose, to stay true to his alliance. He made the choice already. Didn’t vote for him.
Rob C. - I do think he played a good game the first time around and had bias against him from the vote of best player to never win. He mentions in one of his bonus interviews on Survivor Insider that the other survivors knew about that vote and felt threatened. However, looking back at his game the first time around, I think he let some of his strategy be made by his penis, so don’t think he was as great as reported to be. It was also a strike against him he was going to share the money with Rupert. Didn’t vote for him.
Rudy - I think he certainly deserves the money. He said he was tired of people mooching off of him, so his reasons for giving his kids the money bothered me. I also did not see the very first season of survivor, so I do not have the information to draw on, regarding his strategy. Didn’t vote for him.
Rob M. - He controlled the entire game IMHO. Whether I agree with his tactics, I do believe he outwitted, outplayed and outlasted in the game of Survivor. I voted for him.
Thank you- that settles it for me. If the assholes at TWoP want to deny Rupert the $$, then I am voting for Rupert. I have never seen a bigger bunch of loser bloggers who think they really mean something- and each has a couple dozen “me too” suckasses following them around. Time to “vote often, vote Rupert”. Besides, it was between him & Tom anyway…
