As I said in the other thread, I wouldn’t mind David Morrisey (aka Jackson Lake). But I’d really like to see Sean Bean or Alan Rickman take the role. Or Morgan Freeman.

Richard Madden is another possibility.
Anthony Stewart Head is also my top pick. He appeared on the show, but I don’t care.
The only problem is that he’s pushing 60, and the BBC seems to like its Doctors young.
I can see him as the Master, especially after his role in Merlin. I cannot see him as the Doctor.
As for age, I hope they do make him older, if the actors get any younger, they will have to start poaching the Game of Thrones set.
I can see Clive Owen as the good Doctor.
Not sure how that would work.
I’m not necessarily in favor of making the Doctor female, but I think Tilda Swinton would be great!

John Noble would be the best Doctor EVER. Eddie Izzard would also be pretty cool.
But he’s Irish. I know that lots of planets have a North, and that this one has two Irelands so the odds are good that lots of planets have an Ireland, he’s from the wrong one.
ETA: Or he and my ancestors would say that he’s from the right one. Politics also gets wibbly-wobbly.
