I don’t think British citizenship brings with it the right to migrate to Australia, even though it did a long time ago.
On the other hand, I have three sons, all of marriageable age (32, 30 and 24), all single, all without girlfriends (as far as I know), and all Australian citizens. If any women would like an introduction, I can arrange one. (And one lives in Slough, which would be very convenient to anyone in the UK or nearby).
Well, depending on where the marriage gets registered, I would say it matters very much!
I wonder, does anybody know whether there has been anybody who has tried to immigrate to the US on grounds of being married or engaged to a person of the same gender?
