Our concert last Saturday was recorded and it’s being broadcast on ABC Classic FM tomorrow night (Tuesday 8 August) at 8.00pm Sydney time. There’s an on-line link to ABC Classic FM here (just click on the Listen Now link).

The program was:

  • Ravel’s *Daphnis et Chloé * Ballet Suites
  • Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms
  • Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring (no choir, but the Australian Youth Orchestra in a tremendously spirited rendition).

Cunctator, help a poor idiot in the eastern US (I’m on Eastern Daylight Time) figure out when I should go to that link to hear your choir. Cuz I really would like to listen!

freckafree, unfortunately the broadcast won’t be at a very convenient time for those in the US. At 8.00pm on Tuesday night in Sydney it’s (I think) 6.00am on Tuesday morning on the US east coast.

Here’s a review of the concert from today’s paper. The reviewer was clearly not impressed by Daphnis et Chloé.

If I only I woulda found this thread earlier. I’m not understanding how you have Wednesday’s paper already though. Its still Tuesday night, isn’t it?
