Live broadcast of my choir’s performance of the The Dream of Gerontius, by Elgar

My choir’s performance of The Dream of Gerontius, by Elgar, will be broadcast live from the Sydney Opera House on Wednesday night (19 November), in a concert starting at 8.00pm* Australian eastern summer time. The orchestra and choir will be conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy. We had our first rehearsal with Mr Ashkenazy last night and it was great fun. It’s a fantastic work and I’m really looking forward to the performances.

If you’d like to listen in (especially Malacandra, who I know loves Gerontius), go to ABC Classic FM and click on the Listen Now link.
