The root of this debate has already occurred, they were not the first terrorists, coining the phrase. From there there is not much else to say. Except this, how should I have started this debate to make it more of a discussion-?
Lets discuss those specific terrorists that I noted that few Americans even know about? If the American people had known; Israel would not be getting $trillions in US handouts, that I am sure of
Ambiguous statement. Do you think there are other nations in the Middle East that are democracies (if so, please name them) and/or do you believe Israel is not a democracy (if so, please specify why).
This is not a discussion about “other” countries, this is a discussion about Israel’s democracy if it exists LOL
Israel is “not” a democracy because the Palestinians and/or all the non-Jews are not treated equally & if you want to debate this I will start a new discussion covering just this topic. Are you game-?
Israel as democracy
Terrorism in pre-Israeli Levant
Something else?
It is not our problem that you lived through the 1950s and 1960s without learning that Irgun was a terrorist organization. Just as it is not our fault that you appear to be unaware of the various Arab groups engaged in violence in the 1920s through 1940s. However, bouncing around from one topic to another is not a legitimate form of debate.
Pick a topic. Spend time learning about both sides of the issue so that you can actually debate the topic.
This thread is too confused to continue as a “debate.”
Closed.
The Palestinians are not Israeli citizens. I accept that nonJewish Israeli citizens may be at time treated unfairly, but if that invalidates Israel’s status as a democracy, the U.S. loses theirs also, on a similar basis.
I’m afraid I don’t have much confidence in your ability and interest to engage in a productive discussion about Israel, giving your writing in this and related threads, so… no, I’m not “game.”
I’d need more specifics on who are the 500, the 1 and the 5 in jeopardy, as well as why and how. Also by what mechanism saving the 500 kills the 1 or the 5 instead.
Nationalities aside, and with no further detail, I guess if I had to choose between 500, 1 or 5 to die, I’d go with the 1, out of simple regard for numbers.
