A comment on electoral-vote.com today was:
Highly doubt that someone as critical about the war in Iraq, whether then and/or now, would want anything to do with Condi.
I think Hannity is right. He will go with Newt and they will make some sort of “2016 Contract with America” to try to unify the party.
I just can’t believe it will be Newt Gingrich. If I were Trump, I’d be trying to get Kasich on board. He’s got a good political record (just ask him), he can bridge to the establishment and he’s from a battleground state. And to be honest, if Kasich can get GOP voters to show up in Ohio, it helps Rob Portman in a tight senate race, too.
I’m so glad. One is more than enough.
How on Earth would Rice help Trump’s chances? A black woman would outrage Trump’s base of ignorant white people. And Rice was one of the people responsible for Bush’s foreign policy, which was a complete disaster.
Yes I saw that typo later. Thank goodness I won’t be Gingrich.
I think it will be Jeff Sessions, because he endorsed Trump so early and because he’s freakishly conservative to mollify anyone nervous that Trump has crypto-liberal leanings.
Trump’s fans aren’t particularly worried if he’s a crypto liberal. Remember how all those ads showing his past Democratic leaning opinions were utterly ineffective? And it’s not like he’s even remotely suspected of being Bernie Sanders lefty, he’s Clinton lefty at worst. I don’t think he needs to play to the extreme right/tea partiers.
A couple months ago I said I thought it might be Sessions for basically that reason and because at the time I thought he’d be about the only seasoned politician who would accept the job. But now I think Trump could persuade someone more credible, and from a more key state, too.
Hey, Fear Itself, don’t knock her until you’ve been in her shoes! Do you have any idea how tough it is to respond to a gotcha trap question like “Hello”?
Dan Quayle could use another shot at this sort of thing.
He feels Trump’s more qualified than Hillary, which already is giving me the warm and fuzzies.:dubious:
(Trying to remember who said way back when that when looking into those blue eyes you could see clear through to the back of D.Q’s head.)
Calling it now for John Barron.
Don’t confuse ignorance - or lack of education - with stupidity.
I really don’t see a black or female candidate as being a problem. Sure, Trump does appeal to racists, but they’re racists who want to appear like they aren’t racist. What if, instead of pointing to their (only) black friend, they could point to who they voted for?
Hell, I remember some people saying they couldn’t be racist because they voted for Obama.
Only when he learns to spell poe-tay-tows.
Adam West.
James West?
Sheriff Joe Arpaio
They think alike.
Goddamn that was brutal. I forgot how brutal.
Aren’t all the polls and online betting sites saying it will be Kasich? Why wouldn’t it be him?
Would he not accept?
