Who will be Trump's VP? [plus] Trump's Vice-President choice?

Agreed. I think he needs someone perceived as an outsider, but not a minority.

Well, he brings military credentials. But he’s even fucking crazier than the character that Trump is playing right now.

That might even give the Utah Democratic electors something to do next December.

Well, he’d bring out the Freepers in droves. That’d be something.

Ammon Bundy.

East meets West like thorzine in an IV bag meets strapped-to-the-bed crazy.

Plus, he has that [del]smell[/del] flavor of the day Trendy Beard thing wiggling on his chin.

Ok don’t call me a homer for this:
From Colorado (a swing state) I present Ken Buck (R).
Just in his first term as a Representative
Look at the committees he’s on
House Committee on the Judiciary
Member, Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigations
Member, Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security
House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform
Vice Chairman, Subcommittee on The Interior
Member, Subcommittee on Government Operations
And for appeal to the conservative block, look at his picture. You can’t get more “Whitey Oldman” than that!

I think in the case of Trump, it only comes down to two questions:

  1. Does Trump like the guy?

  2. Will the guy say yes?

Ohio congressman Jim Jordan. Young, conservative.

Preach it!

Noe way.

That really would not surprise me: conservative, black, military service, Congressional experience, from Florida, and out of his gourd. Ticks all the boxes.

Yup. But the “guy” could also be a “gal” (and likely will be, if Hillary is the Democratic nominee).

Well, then, Hillary’s choice would be clear: Politics

And that is, I’ll admit, a difficult quality to find.

It would have to be Sarah Palin, wouldn’t it? Nothing else would complete this trifecta of dumb.

No, no, Adam West! In costume! If the snerk unthinkable happens to Trump, he’ll take care of ISIS! WHAM! POW! SOCKO!

Well, he does have more government experience than Trump: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_jP2vrRFy8

Eh. While I think Trump started his campaign as a publicity stunt, he seems to have decided he actually is in it to win now. So I suspect he’ll try and find someone that will improve his chances of winning and expand his appeal. Presumably, that means the most serious or establishment candidate he can find that is still willing to agree to take the job.

Bobby Jindal? A few years ago he was a rising star in the Republican party until a bunch of blunders made him pretty irrelevant. Latching on to Trump could give him some momentum back, and in return he’d probably be happy to be a yes man to Trump.

Are Nikki Haley’s affair rumours far enough behind her?

Since I’d never thought about her politics, I googled her. Given what I saw, I’d actually love to see someone with her politics (if not her experience or skill) on the Republican side. Sure, she performed at a Republican rally, and has said some things like “Republicans do it better” but everyone in the conservative side is convinced that she’s an Obama supporter, based on stuff about how happy she was when he was elected. She’s also just really charitable and pro-tolerance. And she specifically tries to avoid getting in arguments with people.

She’s much closer to the type of Republican that I could actually vote for–though that could have a lot to do with not voicing her opinions, which a real candidate couldn’t do.

But, of course, only if she thinks he has a chance.

Probably. And she would be a good candidate that checks all the boxes for Trump. But after her anti-Trump stuff in the State of the Union response, I doubt she’d be willing to attach herself to him, even if Trump overlooked it.

Her message was that her party was not the party of Trump.

Ah well. There’s always Kelly Ayotte.

Indeed, her moderate and temperate views would offer a good balance.
