Who will win the Stanley Cup?

My heart tells me Ottawa (Go Sens Go!) but my head tells me St. Louis… in 6, over Ottawa.

Devils.

Sure, laugh now…

I dont forsee this staying in GD for too long, but…

Put down the crack pipe guys, and realise that Colorado is going to take the cup, playing the Devils in the finals…

Buffalo is taking it home! (I can dream!)

“You don’t have insurance? Well, just have a seat and someone will be with you after you die.” --Yes, another quality sig custom created by Wally!

A Jesusfied sig: Next time I covet thine opinion, I’ll ask for it!

So long as its not Toronto, I could hardly care.

Hey wouldn’t it be nice for Edmonton to take another cup, though? Keep it north of the border, where it belongs? JUST NOT IN TORONTO… Grrrr…

Jai Pey

My sig says it all…

The Stanley Cup: A repeat is in the STARS!

::sniff:: Smells like MPSIMS to me. Off ya go.

Why not Toronto?

My fate keeps getting in the way of my destiny.

Dallas will keep the cup without breaking a sweat!!!

Dallas is too old to win the cup. All they can do is try to stifle the opposition with defence. Edmonton will take a run at them. If the series is a long one, Edmonton has the advantage of younger, faster legs. Dallas has experience, but are aging. A long series will kill them. Assuming they get by Edmonton, they will be beaten handily by Colorado or Detroit.

Canucks all the way!!

Trying not to be bias, but I don’t think Colorado or Edmonton have a real chance. Colorado could surprise me, but I honestly don’t think Edmonton can pull it off.

Dallas is too old? They are a younger team than last year. Detroit on the other hand has collected all the defencemen in the league that are over 37 (excepting Borque), but they aren’t too old?

The Stanley Cup: A repeat is in the STARS!

I think Colorado has a real shot. Edmonton, probably not, but they will wear the Stars down for their next series. Away from the dreadfully slow Dallas ice, the Stars don’t have the speed to keep up with a younger, faster team. They’ll be tired after this series, and fodder for their second round match-up.

Since my team is already out (Montreal), I’ll go with Colorado for one good reason: Ray Bourque. Since Bourque has joined Colorado the Avs are a completely different team. With 8 goals in 13 games, Bourque has been a precious help for the team that finally conquered his division title.

Good old Ray has played 21 years in this league, he has scored over 400 goals( a record for a defenceman),has played in 18 All-Star games and has won 5 Norris trophies. He has done so much for hockey in all those years, I’d be a shame if he retired without touching the cup at least once. I think he really deserves it.

mmmmm…Hockey players…They’re akin to knights in plastic armor up here…

“Yea. The chicks LOOOOVE a hockey player…” - guy I had a crush on in high school (hockey player…)

A little persistance goes a long way. Announcing:

“I go on guilt trips a couple of time a year. Mom books them for me.” A custom made Wally .sig!

It’s the Blues! And not for one reason. For a whole lot of reasons. All season long they’ve had injuries and they’ve not had any problem with replacing them with someone else. One person does not a team make. They even didn’t do TOO bad the last week of regular season after they had been awarded the President’s Trophy and were playing all of their second stringers.

Just so you all know, this is the first thread I’ve ever started that has been moved in category. Despite the Leafs winning last night, I still hold hope for my team… Go Sens Go!

Smug,

the odds for LA and such are still too good. As for your predictions for the finals, not a chance.

Colorado Vs New Jersey, Avs 4-2
