I’m not an American but I would choose Henry Cuellar. The only politician I can find who supports my conservative view on things like abortion but also favors social justice. If someone can point me to someone else who is also in favor of gun control I would be liable to change my mind

Consider biblical teaching, is it a paradox to to believe “Thou shalt not kill” applies to shooting people with a gun and killing unborn children. Or that God hate homosexuality (Rom 1:26-27) but wants us to care for the needy (Jam 2:14-17)

Big difference. If I’m picking for right now, I’m staying with Biden. Not only do I think he’s doing about as good a job as one can do, given where we are as a nation, but he’s got a better shot than anyone who’d take over at this point of winning in 2024, IMHO.
(I’m assuming my pick only applies to the term I pick them for, and doesn’t carry through the next election.)
If I’m picking someone who would magically take office on 1/20/25, I’d probably go with Whitmer. She’d be the incumbent in 2028, and have a good chance of holding onto the White House for another 4 years.
I grew up just outside of Alexandria, but much as I still love that town, I think it would make a lousy President.
I’m not picky about “rules”. Specifying what you mean, as you did, is fine me. More information is better.
If I could bring someone back from the dead to be president, my pick is Carl Sagan. Climate change would be a top priority (as it should be). Space exploration would also be high on the list. Science in general would be at the forefront. He was also a great humanitarian, and one of the best communicators we’ve ever had.
