I loved watching them investigate the obviously stuffed mountain lion while pretending that it could “wake up at any moment”.

I still say this is the best and worst show currently on television.

Just got caught up on this show. I love it! It’s bad, really bad sometimes, but it’s fun and silly and now I really want to know who the killer is.

Agreed on both counts…at least until Breaking Bad returns.

I get that the participants need to act like they are really in danger…like people are really being killed…in order for there to be any ‘drama’ whatsoever. Which would be fine if they had a single acting chop between them . As it is, the ‘drama’ is laughably bad…

We can’t wait for the next episode!

Have they said explicitly on the show that the killer knows they’re the killer?

It would be awesome if they didn’t. Like when you’re playing Clue and your character did it.

Alas, this is where I disagree. If the killer doesn’t know they’re the killer, it makes the whole thing random chance. I would much rather one of them is a plant, and once they’re down to six or seven people, the mystery becomes just as much about who as it is about how.

In my mind it’s blatantly obvious that The Butler Did It.

It’s the only way to *guarantee *that ‘the killer’ survives to the end of the program.

That was the very first thing I said to my roommate when we watched the first episode.

But speaking of Giles, I found it unaccountably hilarious that “The Killer” is a contact in his iPhone.

Not really. I mean, if you’re eliminating based on the reconstruction of the crime, presumably the killer knows how he did it. Of course, the producers couldn’t pick the same person over and over again, so they just skip the killer for the ‘super spared’ card.

It’s like the Mole. The killer gets all the answers to the written quiz correct each week. Remember, there is a written quiz and the scenes where the contestants explain how it was done are filmed just for drama.

Great! Much appreciated.

I also read that the killer doesn’t get given the solutions to the cluehunt so they don’t need to worry about them giving things away when searching. They only get told what happened when they’re just about to fill out the questionnaire.

The best episode yet!

Seriously, we get rid of annoying Dana and immature Sasha in one go! This bodes well for the remaining episodes. The only truly annoying character left is Melina, and I’m guessing she’s the killer anyway.

I was surprised Sasha was the only one that knew the rhyme about the snakes, although I knew it as “Red on yellow, kill a fellow, red on black, friend of jack”. The poisonous/nonpoisonous sign in the morgue was just too much of a clue, but people didn’t really pay enough attention to it.

I’m surprised at how many people still said it was a snake bite after Geno pointed out that the snakes head was way too small, but even Geno said snakebite! How dumb, and after his stroke of brilliance last episode with the safe in the library. Sasha was also pretty dunderheaded - “Hmm, I know the snake wasn’t poisonous, but I’ll say it was anyway because my team thinks so, despite Cris telling me the clue was in the stable and not at the scene of the crime”. She only blew up at the rest of her team because she knew she was screwed, and she did it to herself.

I didn’t like the arrow clue - it seemed like any of the arrows could have been the correct one based on the rhyme, so Kam and Cris got it by luck. The puzzle at the end was a real puzzle though. The snake hut was hilarious - that was a great touch by ‘the killer’.

And then three scared cards and two deaths! The killer is upping the ante. But like I said, my two least favorite characters bit the dust. I was wondering if Kam was going to successfully pull Ronnie away from Team Geno (maybe bringing Sasha with him). It looks like he may do that, and totally turn the tables on Geno and Melina. I thought for a while Cris was going to try and pull Sasha onto Team Kam, although obviously that isn’t happening now.

I think Kam is getting too much of the villian edit, so I wonder if he’s either being set up as the killer or as a finalist. Either way, he’s being way too much of a jerk. I did think Geno’s “one of you can come back with me, no questions asked” was a bold masterstroke, but it failed hard. And then he cried like a bitch when he got the scared card. It’ll be interesting to see what happens in the next round.

I thought this was a great episode, too. As soon as I saw the snake, I said out loud, “Red and black, friend of Jack”. I can’t believe more people didn’t know that rhyme.

I pretty much dislike everyone on Geno’s team, so I was really happy to see Kam, Chris and Lindsey all spared this week. With two players out next week, the dynamic is really going to change.

My guess for killer that it will be one of the women, probably Melina because she seems the least likely.

The really interesting thing will happen when one more person goes. Then one team will only have two people, and won’t be able to go to all three locations, thereby screwing the other two people. Which, incidentally, might be a good way to figure out the killer earlier. If you have two people on a team, and only one gets a scared card, the other is pretty likely the killer. Although, the killer would probably give themselves a scared card to throw off suspicion. Then it gets real interesting with only one person on a team, because it’s highly unlikely they would not be the worst with the theory of the crime.

Of course, if the killer is on the team of three, that goes out the window.

Did the show clearly state, without any wiggle room, that the killer is one of the contestants? I assume it has, but I noticed this week the intro. says “the killer is among them”.

Giles being the killer would be a horribly lame thing and I doubt they have done this, but did the show state clearly that one contestant is the killer?

From the ABC official site:

That certainly sounds like one of the players is the killer. Also:

So, yes, it appears the killer will be one of the final three, although I suppose you can parse all of that to include the possibility of Giles being the killer – which I agree would be incredibly lame.

I’m always a day behind, but I managed to sit down and watch last night. I have to say, Geno has balls–that “come with me if you want to live” move was kind of awesome. Too bad it totally didn’t work.

I found it interesting that seven out of eight players think that the killer is somebody on Kam’s team–the exception being Kam himself, who still has it out for Geno. Lindsay and Cris accused each other–Lindsay got three votes, Cris and Kam two each.

My money is still on Melina.

I feel bad for Sasha–having seen neither the snake nor the sign, she couldn’t get any traction on her non-poisonous assertion. She was kind of annoying, but I didn’t think she was stupid, and I would have rather watched her actually try to solve something than watch Geno flounder around and hope he bumps into a fact. Dana did a great job keeping the snakebite from everybody else at the morgue scene, but she was so busy hiding the holes in the jeans that she missed the wood chips that definitely ruled out snakebite. Dana was kind of annoying and generally lagged behind the rest, but I thought she was worth watching for those occasional moments of brilliance.

The obvious move when one team has only 3 players was to try and bring one of them over ala Geno. The better move would have been to do it at the investigations scenes. (away from their team) That what I was thinking would have happened. The brilliant counter to that strategy would have been for Kam’s team to each volunteer to flip thus negating the attempt. But all of that was busted when no one tried until Geno’s heavy handed attempt.

Either way, I’m glad both of them are gone. I’m also excited that the next crime seems pretty complicated.
