Why does Whoopi entirely remove her eyebrows? I have seen a couple movies where she did have eyebrows (probably artificial ones for the role), and she looked much more natural. The no-eyebrows look, is rather unsettling to me.

I would like to add, that individuality/self-expression is fine with me. If you are into tat’s, piercings, rainbow hair colors, bizarre clothing or whatever, that’s cool with me but I just don’t see any point in removing one’s eyebrows.
Does she? I don’t know, but would be suprised if she did. She’s one of the most blessedly natural of “stars”. Could be it’s just a makeup thing; specifically, her eyebrows not being prominent and her refusing to worry about it.
Like I said, I dunno. FWIW, she’s one of the VERY few “celebrities” (quotes because I rarely recognize, much less celebrate most of them) I think I’d actually enjoy meeting. Her hilarious gritching over having to wear a bra for the Oscar stint (where she looked like a goddess) just doesn’t hang with having her eyebrows waxed.

I used to see her around Berkeley once in a while, before she got really famous. Saw her once or twice before I realized that she was that hella funny woman on PBS. She is so ordinary looking, except she did act kinda goofy. But a lot of people here act kinda goofy.
She is very talented. And funny.
