Our local TV station actually found where this stuff is being taken too. It now forms part of a very impressive nest which is located in a tall tree, just at the back of this lady’s garden. It should last for years.
Any images available online of that nest?
I cannot find one yet, but I did see it on TV. The bird had used the fencing as the outer framework of the nest, and then lined it with twigs and other smaller stuff. I hope an image come online later.

Corvids are my favorite birds. I can sit and watch crows for hours; they’re very human, in the complexity of their personalities. I had a bluejay as a pet once. Very smart bird. Some day I’d like to find a way to keep a raven; the whole family fascinates me.
