Who's been "Everywhere"? How many places mentioned in the song have you been to?

I seem to have been to 47 of them (bolded) with possibly two more (underscored). (Argentine, in this case, is Argentine, MI.)

I get eight, if I can also include Ottawa and Springfield, Illinois.

Now if the song had included European cities, I would have cleaned up and won this contest!

I’ve been to Bangor (in Ireland) and Black Rock (in Australia).

I somehow suspect that these weren’t the ones the writer was thinking of. Which would make my score…zero!

Apparently, I haven’t been anywhere!

The original was written by an Aussie, for his own country, he adapted it for the U.S. I think there’s an British version also.
Here are the original lyrics, it’s a one page pdf: http://poparchives.com.au/share/I’ve%20Been%20Everywhere%20lyrics%20(Australian).rtf

I underlined the one’s I’m sure of.

So I guess that makes 22.

heh. Well, I do a bit better there. Twelve. Nothing to write home about (but then, I don’t need to write home because … I haven’t been anywhere! Or something…)

Oops! Thank you for counting them for me.

Sorry there’s 91, not 81.

Reno, Chicago, Toronto, Tulsa, Ottawa, Oklahoma, Panama, Baltimore, Salvador, Amarillo, Barranquilla (lived and worked there).

Boston, Louisiana, Washington, Houston, Texarkana, Monterey, Santa Fe, Little Rock, Tennessee, Crater Lake.

Louisville, Nashville, Knoxville, Costa-Rica, Bakersfield, Shreveport, Pasadena and Catalina.

I think that’s 29. But I don’t think you’ve been “everywhere” if you don’t have any places in Europe, Africa or Asia on your list.

Probably no one’s been everywhere.

Chicago, Fargo, Minnesota, Buffalo,
Wind chill, lake snow, overnights 10° below.
Toronto, Tampa, Baltimore, Boston,
Warm clothes, Orioles, swimmin’ trunks tossed in.
Dayton, Louisiana, Washington, Kingston (NY),
Planes, trains, Zatarain’s, bridge across the Hudson.
Monterey, Oskaloosa, Tennessee, Louisville,
2000 miles, but the last leg’s doable.
Nashville, Knoxville, Hackensack, Cadillac,
Tennessee to Jersey via Michigan and then back.
Davenport, Pasadena, Pittsburgh, Colorado,
Bix Fest, Rose Bowl, Buffaloes and Pitt in battle.
Chaska, Nebraska, Waterloo, Kalamazoo,
Midwest folks are best, but felt fedora hats are few.
Kansas City, Sioux City,
30 places in my ditty.

Chicago, Buffalo, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tampa, Bangor, Baltimore, Amarillo, Boston, Charleston, Dayton, Louisiana, Washington, Houston, Santa Fe, Little Rock, Tennessee, Louisville, Nashville, Knoxville, Jacksonville, Waterville, Costa-Rica, Springfield, Shreveport, Jellico, Pittsburgh, Parkersburg, Vicksburg.
So, 29 as of now, and one of the ones I haven’t been to I’ll actually be visiting the end of next month for a conference.

I know I haven’t been everywhere but it still sounds interesting. Let’s see!

13! More than I expected, to be honest. But I agree with **guizot **- it’s so U.S.-centric. I could start talking about places in India I’ve been.

Its the American version. The original was about Australia and there are others about Canada, New Zealand, Germany and Belgium.

You should write one for India. There is certainly enough places to write about!

“I’ve been to Calcutta, Varanasi, Bodhgaya, Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer…”

Reno, Chicago, Minnesota, Buffalo, Toronto, Winslow, Sarasota, Wichita, Tulsa, Ottawa, Oklahoma, Tampa, Panama, Baltimore, Amarillo,

Boston, Charleston, Dayton, Louisiana, Washington, Houston, Kingston, Texarkana, Monterey, Santa Fe, Little Rock, Tennessee, Crater Lake.

Louisville, Nashville, Knoxville, Jacksonville, Springfield, Bakersfield, Shreveport, Hackensack, Idaho, Jellico, Pasadena, Catalina.

Pittsburgh, Parkersburg, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas City, Sioux City, Dodge City.

Looks like 47 of them, two of them in the last couple of weeks. I used to be a travelling field rep.

Chicago, Oklahoma, Dayton, Louisiana, Washington, Little Rock, Tennessee, Nashville, Knoxville, Springfield, Shreveport, Vicksburg, Nebraska, and Kansas City.

I may consider writing one for Asia. I mean, lots of people here have been to lots of places in Asia I’ve never heard of.

Chicago, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Tampa, Baltimore, Boston, Charleston, Louisiana, Washington, Houston, Tennessee, Louisville, Knoxville, Jacksonville, Springfield, Pasadena, Pittsburgh, Colorado, Nebraska
