I’M going to Mexico! That’s right, I just got my confirmation details in the mail! I’ll be working at an orphanage with girls aged 5-15 in Guadalajara for two months this May.

Thanks everyone who encouraged me to do it! I am on top of the world and out of my mind with excitement right now! Who knows? I might come back actually knowing how to speak the language I’ve been studying for 9 years!!!

How Awesome!!! Good on you to work with the kids in the Orphanage. The world needs more people like you. We are going in March but it is strictly for pleasure. Have fun and if you can give hugs to all the kids from badkittypriestess. Spot on Olives!

That is so freakin’ cool! I wanted to apply for an ESL Program in Oaxaca but they were shut down owing to the… you know, craziness with the teacher’s strikes and people dying and so forth. I think I’m happier with this position, though. I’ll be doing ESL but also direct care and group therapy stuff, so a more balanced experience.
