Who's on the cover of the June 2008 special edition of "People Magazine"?

Note: I’m not referring to this week’s regular issue of People that has Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz. I’m referring to some “special issue” for the whole month.

I was standing in the express lane of the grocery store today. While waiting for my turn to pay the cashier, I noted an unusual cover of People. It had three young men (late teens or 20s, I’d guess), but they looked rather '80s. I couldn’t tell if the photo actually was from the '80s or if they were simply dressed/styled that way. The cover was behind another cover, so I couldn’t see who was credited nor the theme of the special issue. Being in the express lane, by the time I noticed the cover, it was time to be rung up so I didn’t have a chance to pick up the magazine itself. I’ve since checked the People website and Google, but to no avail. Has anyone else seen this cover and know to what I’m referring?

Yes, it is The Jonas Brothers. Working at a supermarket (and knowing more about teen culture than a twentysomething should), I should know.

Thanks for the quick response. I’ve heard of The Jonas Brothers and I think I’ve heard a song or two of theirs before (I hear a lot of adult contemporary/top 40 at work) but I can’t think of any off the top of my head. What’s the theme of the special issue?

The special issue is all about the Jonas Brothers, their rise to fame, bios, their likes, photos, upcoming projects like the telefilm Camp Rock, etc. People did one for High School Musical 2 last year in a similar vein.

Oh, wow, I didn’t realize they were famous enough to have a whole issue about them. Then again, I am an ancient 23-year-old.
