Alan Sepinwall saw the first two episodes and liked it. He says . . . “Hung” has more to offer than just John Thomas jokes. Amidst all the sniggering humor about how Ray has been taught to “do your best with the gifts God gave you” is some smart comedy about the state of 21st century America in general, as well as a superb lead performance from Thomas Jane.
Gee, what could possibly interest me, a Gay man, in a huge production about a man who rises to attention with a large penis who flaunts his thick endowment?
OK, I guess as long as I have the HBO package on cable, I might as well check it out and see what comes of it.

No the character isn’t gay. **DMark **was joking that, as a gay man, he may watch the show.
DMark may have to add a different channel to his cable package to see packages on cable. The review I read in Entertainment Weekly said the whole thing is obsessed with making big dick double entendres, but is otherwise pretty sanitized as far as language and naughty bits go.
ETA: They also said the show wasn’t very good, for those who were thinking about watching it for the plot.
Are they planning to show us his cock on a regular basis? If not is there a point? I mean they show titties all the time.

When does it premiere? I plan on watching the first episode but I’m hard pressed to guess what they’ll find to do interesting with the premise to fill a whole season with…

Not horrible.
A little more back story that we needed, but I guess it gives the main character some depth.
He is most certainly night the sharpest knife in the drawer…I mean, seriously…typing into a Google-like search engine to find out how to make money with a big dick? Trust me when I say I know some guys who are well endowed, and they know exactly where to go and how to go about making money with it - should they ever decide to do so. For example, I have met Jeff Stryker and here is a bio of him, and in case you have never heard of him, he is the world-famous Gay porn star extraordinaire. He has made a lot of money with his appendage. (IRL he is sort of an arrogant prick - pardon the pun - but not a party animal by any means and every bit the businessman. He planned his career out carefully, knowing the limited lifespan of a porn actor.)
There were a few funny lines and moments in Hung, and will be interested in seeing how they carry on his new career. I do love his choice as “pimp” - not many people would pick a poet.
