I apologize, I thought I was focused closely enough on topic; no intent to hijack. I’m relatively new to following SDMB.

I appreciate the offer to follow this facet of the discussion to another thread, but this is not an issue dear to me.

I’ve made available the information I wanted to share. I hope somebody benefits, but I’m not out to convert anybody. BDSM is not an active concern in my life.

  1. I want to add my voice to those distinguishing BD from SM. They tend to go hand in hand, but as for me, for example, I like to play with dominance but not with pain. YM, as they say, MV.

  2. I know people with issues who like kink, people with issues who like vanilla, people without issues who like kink, and people without issues who like vanilla. To equate kink with issues is to beg the question.

  3. I like to be submissive, dominant, AND vanilla. It all depends on mood and the other person. Make of this what you will.
