Who's Sexier? Red Hot Chilli Peppers v. U2?

I mean, really, if somehow, magically, you were transformed into any member of either group, which/who would you rather be in? Kiedis v. Bono? Flea v. Edge? How in the world is it even concievable that anyone in U2 has had a better sexier life all around than anyone in the Peppers? Shiite, just springing from Ireland v. Southern California is a wipeout imho. Maybe I’ve heard Dani California too many times.

If you added all the sexiness of all the members of U2 together, it still wouldn’t add up to the amount of sexiness contained in Flea’s little toe.

Sox on Cox!

Or…

I’d rather be Hillel Slovak from the original RHCP…but without the unfortunate addiction to heroin that eventually leads to my early death. Though, I don’t think it’s possible to be a part of that band and not be a heroin addict, if the book Scar Tissue is any indication. If living the drug lifestyle is a necessary component of being transformed into one of these guys, I’d ultimately rather be someone from U2, even though I don’t love them. I guess I’d be Bono…although my philanthropy would be directed to very different causes.

Isn’t Bono really just a turd?

I’ll take a turd-Bono over a smelly, drooling junkie any day. Just philisophically, of course.

Kiedis was a hell of a lot sexier without the droopy construction worker 'stache. John Frusciante, though…mmmm.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I have too many fond teenage memories of boys in socks for it to even be a contest.

Was Scar Tissue worth reading?

Scar Tissue is a very long book, and 75% of it is about drugs. Every two pages, Anthony is either on heroin or trying to get off heroin. There’s a lot of “After the show in [city x] I met this beautiful girl, and we fucked…and did heroin.” It can get pretty repetitive. But you’re not going to find a better history of the band and all of its many incarnations and travels. It’s a pretty good book. There’s a lot of interesting musical discussion and some deep analysis of their songs. But lots of drugs.
